I picked this up after they mentioned it at the end of UPF. It is well worth the 7 bucks. First game I've bought on early access.

Banjo-Kazzoie, one the best game of all time? Watch out Brad, it's one thing not to duck and forget about 30 years of video game mechanics, but Jeff got rid of the last guy who argued one of the worst game of all time was one of the best...

Press the Wrench icon up top, then click on usable gear(Weapons/wheels etc) then you can rebind everything. If you rebind your left and right wheels individually you can use them to tank steer.

I don't think Brad has anything to worry about when it comes to differing opinions on Nuts and Bolts with Jeff.

I was sold the moment I saw circular saws.

I wonder if Brad ever played the first 2 Banjo-Kazooie games. He sounds too welcoming with what nuts and bolts did.

Anyway, this game is pretty cool.

I hate Nuts and Bots. Not the concept, I just wish they had used some new IP so I wasn't reminded of what game it should have been the entire time I played it. This looks like a better implementation of those vehicle-building mechanics anyways.

Saw this game pop up on Steam when I looked at the storefront on Saturday.

The screenshots/trailer looked neat, the user reviews seemed positive, and $7 was square in impulse-buy territory, so I took the leap.

That was the right choice, this game is rad. I had intended to spend Saturday playing a bunch of Dying Light, but most of my time went to Besiege instead. No regrets.

You'll find Jeff agrees with him; the whole GB crew is pretty positive on BK Nuts & Bolts.

And so am I, as it happens. I reeeeeeeally hated it for a good few years there, because I grew up playing the N64 games and wanted more of that. Once I finally decided to just try it on its own merits though? That game's kinda brilliant in a lot of ways.

After seeing twinsawelephant.bsg, Drew is a different person to me.

Let's pray this actually gets a finished release, because it looks like heaps of fun. Really loving the artstyle too.

Game looks great. I don't normally go for early access, but this is already a ton of fun by the looks of it.

Went to buy it on Steam halfway through the video and I imagine this video will boost their sales from others like me. It's only $7 and the game will only grow exponentially from here as it's early in it's development, hell of a deal.

Now I wish that some AAA games would bring concepts like this to a grand scale... imagine for example like a Shadow of Mordor sequel that has sieges where you build your own crazy physicsy siege weapons like this and go rampaging, or a Black & White sequel with build your own monsters and siege weapons, I'd play the hell out of stuff like that. Anyways, I'll happily be playing this for now.

Man I loved Nuts and Bolts. Looks like this could be the next best thing.

This was freaking amazing! Thanks for sharing this link. The monstrosities that are shown in this reveal that Drew has only barely scratched the surface of the mayhem you can cause. All in all great quick look.

Rare had the opportunity to finally kill the Mario franchise by making a 3A HD platformer but they instead went for Nuts and Bolts and everyone that wanted a true Banjo game turned their back against them. And that's why the game bombed.

So far my favourite thing in this game is going full Death Blossom, just building a spinning platform stacked with weapons and hoping for the best.

@drewbert was hoping you would have found the fine tuning button, it allows you to change keys (so you could set each of your cannons to fire on a different key or set up your keys so that even without turning hinges you could rotate) as well as adjust other aspects of certain other pieces, like speed for the wheels/turning blocks, and mass for the ballast (under flight)

also using the eraser instead of the delete hotkey highlights the thing you want to delete before you click, which is handy for more finicky pieces like the struts.

Banjo & Kazooie Nuts & Bolts is a game I really wanted to love, it just looks so beautiful and it's a cool idea...but as much as I tried to like it, it just wasn't my thing.
