Unfinished: Brigador 11/03/2015

I have been so hyped about this game for a long time. The original trailer was amazing. Itll be interesting to see how it really plays.

I've been keeping an eye on this game for quite a while too, mainly because it bears a striking resemblance to Future Cop: LAPD.

The way this game looks reminds me so much of stuff like Red Alert 2, even down to the explosions looking like they came straight from that game. And that's good.

Man i just fucking love the gbeast quick looks since austin joined.

The GBeast quick looks really miss something when they're not running the full 3 man crew.

This tickles my MechCommander nostalgia so hard. Looks amazing.

Haven't watched the QL look, but based on Austin and Alex's tweets I loaded up the soundtrack on Soundcloud. Still on the first track but I am intrigued. I get where Austin is coming from calling it Genesis grimy synth.

I was just listening to the sound cloud of the dude who made the trailer music just the other week. Glad this is still being worked out, sounded cooler as Matador though.

Vinny your 1 tank probably doesn't have enough ammo to destroy all those other tanks.

First time I heard of this, looks really great, but the price is waaay too high for me, at least until I see what content the final version offers.

In this QL;

• The tank equivalent of 'would you fight 100 duck-sized horses or 1 horse-sized duck'
• Austin lays down some real talk on why tanks are still Vincible
• Battle hover station wagon
• MechWarrior 3050 reborn 2015

Yes dude this is the reference I was thinking of that they didn't mention. Reminds me a lot of that game, which I liked.

But this game has a great sense of style all its own.

This game looks like something I would very much pay money for once it leaves early access.

I've been watching this after I saw the first trailer on Steam. Just waiting for this to go 1.0. Game and quick look looks fucking rad.

@landhawk: We'd never even heard of Bedlam until someone mentioned it after we released the first trailer. Same in fact goes for the Strike games and Future Cop: LAPD as well. Funny how similarities can still come through when working independently.

I like how the .50 cal MG is still called the Ma Deuce. I could totally see the army still using that thing for another hundred years.

Super interesting the devs had never really looked at the Strike games or Future Cop LAPD since they bear quite a few similarities. What this game REALLY reminds me of is Mechwarrior 3050 for the Genesis/SNES with some familiar but new flavors. I can't wait till this comes out of EA I'm totally gonna play the shit out of it.

Interesting how there are so many Portuguese names in this (Pinhal Novo is even the name of a real town in Portugal). Yet from visiting the devs' website, none of them are either Portuguese or Brazilian. I wonder why that is.

Heh, yeah, it was kinda funny hearing Austin talk about "Desert Strike but in a cyberpunk setting", since Future Cop LAPD was exactly that - it was even part of the Desert Strike series until pretty late in development. It did have PS1 era polygonal graphics that don't hold up well though, so I'm happy to see that Brigador went with Tiberian Sun style 2D art instead, because Tiberian Sun is still one beautiful game.

I am extremely into this game, and I don't even own it yet (will fix it asap)

Also, anyone curious about Vinny's idea for a super tank should look into projects like the Maus
