I'm torn between tricaster wizard Vinny and video game master Vinny.

Also, as an Australian, I have been to Kalgoorlie and that map was pretty accurate.

We need the Infinite Vinny Machine to solve this problem once and for all. Science is slacking off.

I missed tri-caster antics! Ian was a cool guy, but Vinny was the master of wackiness on the screen!

A lot of the shenanigans Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo pull I put down to standard corporate maneuvering and I don't get too worked up about it.

Microsoft's royal shafting of Rare makes me really angry, and I didn't even play a Rare game until about four months ago!

EDIT: The English can do whimsy better than anyone. Fable and Viva Piñata are two great examples of delightfully quaint games that contain just enough dark undercurrent to keep from being cloying.

I am absolutely squealing with glee right now. Viva Piñata is in my top 5 favorite games of all time. I was obsessed with it before I even knew what Giant Bomb was. Seeing the joy on Brad's face while playing it is awesome.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but they were pronouncing Ibn Battuta correctly. And yes, he was a real man. His full name is crazy long but it is shortened to Ibn Battuta. If I am not mistaken "Ibn" means "son of" so it's not really a first name. He travelled throughout the middle ages and went pretty for his time. He even wrote a book about it (which is fairly interesting if you are into that sort of thing).

Viva Pinataaa full of pun! Full of puns! I loved the first game. It was the first one I got all the achievements for. The second was more streamlined, but I got bored of it waay too soon.

Does anybody know how they got that build of sportsfriends? I preordered the ps3 version because I have some friends from out of town coming in tonight and thought it would be fun, but the alpha I got was separate executables for each game, and they all have much more limited options than the version they were playing. Is the build they have available to the public? Is it because I preordered the ps3 version instead of the PC one?

I got way way into Viva Pinata. Nuts and Bolts, too. I think I might be the only person on the planet who had more fun with Xbox Rare than Nintendo Rare.

Brad is hyper-competitive, and he totally does what you say he does - complains about something or gives up if he's going to lose, and celebrates if he wins. At the same time, who cares? Super animated and competitive Brad, is the best Brad. It's what makes him who he is.

I'm sure you're half joking because "lol", but no one on the internet should make you mad :). We're all here for games and fun.

I honestly love how enthused Brad is for Viva Pinata. It's just so pleasant.

The thing about Sports Friends is that to someone like me, where's there's no way to play local multiplayer and there's no interest in playing local multiplayer, there literally isn't even a game there. It might as well exist in an entire other universe.

I installed Viva Piñata. I never played this too much, although I thought it looked really fun. Let's see what happens.

I noticed that they are playing a new alpha version of Sportsfriends. Is it available to all backers or is it a press only-thing? Latest available build that I can download was released this summer?

Having watched a few other streams of Sports Friends stuff, I think they're all way more fun to watch as 1v1 games. 2v2 is probably better for a fun party atmosphere, but it also is way lamer to watch, because it's just constantly terrible team coordination. Well, I guess not Joust or Hokra, but I think the other 2 work much better 1v1.
