It was really refreshing to have Vinny back in the control room. I missed those crazy visual gags. No one does it like V-BOMB.

If you're unable to like anything adorable or something that might appeal to kids, then it just means you're dead inside. There is nothing 'cool' about being 'mature' in the way you're talking about.

God damn, I had forgotten about how good Viva Pinata looks. Might be my favourite game, visually, of all time. Tied with Journey probably.

Viva Pinata was mind-numbingly boring to watch. I guess I'll take their word for it that it becomes a more complicated management sim later, but watching some worms and birds mate, and then a few more random animals show up didn't give an amazing impression of the game. So yeah, Brad's level of wondrous joy seemed disproportionate to what I was seeing on-screen. I don't even see how Brad could get particularly attached to the pinata designs, if all they do is graze and occasionally eat each other and/or mate. At least Pokemon say their name (in the anime, and I guess some of the games), which is kind of endearing.

I know Unprofessional Fridays isn't meant to be a video review, and it's just "Hey man, play whatever, it's Friday", but if there's a good game somewhere in Viva Pinata, Brad sure did a crap job of selling it to me.

Using the phrase "weirdbeards in their 20s and 30s" also means you've done a crap job of selling any point you've had to those reading that post. Pointing out issues you take with a game goes a fair way further than attacking people that like them, which just garners a middle finger or two thrown in your direction.

They must prove to me on a case-by-case basis whether their beards are, in fact, weird or not. Until then, weird is assumed.

Around 2:19:20, I don't think I've ever seen Brad so excited about anything ever.

I feel for the people who made Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta because they meant well. I think we can all admit Uncharted isn't always the most 'culturally sensitive' game, so having a counterpoint to that was a good idea...but you have to start with making a good game to get across your message.

Unearthed seems like Garshasp for Uncharted games...and I really want to play some more Diablo 3 now! Joining the club as one of those people who really liked it, even with it's online issues.

Why is it that every damn Unity game ever always has the same shitty blur, it's like every single post processing effect in that engine is rendered at 1/4 the native resolution.

All you need to do if you cant use a game because of Games for Windows Live is download a singular .dll that bypasses it. Best of all it's not illegal.

I love Rorie, but it's kinda annoying when the guys have a conversation about something, only for him to ask about the exact thing they were just talking about 2 minutes later...

I love the idea of Sports Friends but even if the game is free it'll cost me an extra £90ish to play it.

Glad it exists though.

I can't believe Rare used Comic Sans for not one, but two of their Xbox entries. Even though there's clearly some great talent behind the art style, that typeface choice just makes their games look like knockoff products (not to mention that the UI in general is completely all over the place).

It's a real shame, as it's the only weak link I can find in their recent-ish games, but it's a severe one.
