After watching the Live from Playstation portion of this, I may need to pickup a PS4.

Not worst UPF by A long shot, and yes humanity your in the minority from the general look of the comments here so far. THIS Is the best, just the guys riffing off of madness and for the love of God Vinny is a grown man and had a fat smile on his face at the end, he was perturbed for 10secs then moved on. And yes the chat did get stupid at one point because they are children and thought Vinny was upset. I only have one question What you use for smoke weed bro?

Yeah, I did find it interesting once the chat got big and his comments were drowned out, he seemed to give up.

Lets cut this off that dude playing guitar isn't special stop making him out to be some sort of god. It was funny at first then just a waste of time. Just because gb wasted time on a normal guy doesn't mean is better or more noteworthy than every other person on youtube playing guitar.

I'm going to have to agree with Splid and Humanity on this one. Watching PS4 live streams was fun. For ten minutes. The guitar guy was pretty cool, and I'm sure he felt good about the positive comments the duders were giving him.

But, it seems like the only guys who brought their A games this week were Drew (So unprofessionally professional!) and Vinny. The other half of the show just felt like I was sitting in a college speech 101 course where speakers gave ten minute speeches with one minute's worth of content.

But if disliking this week's episode puts me in the minority, I'm fine with that. After all, I'm sure I'm in the minority with my dislike for Steak-Ums, Star Wars 1-3, Rogue Squadron, and Justin Bieber.

@zelyre: I'm with ya. I don't feel the need to worry about this being a problem with the show going forth, but I don't want UPF to just be about zipping back and forth between ustream feeds. I can do that whenever.

I want UPF to be about Vinny or the other udders finding dopeass/dopey-ass games and then riffing on them live. That I can only get on UPF.

I really enjoyed this one. I can watch anyone play a new game. I come to Giant Bomb to watch see weird games and weird parts of the internet. Also Steak-Ums was the best!

@icantbestopped: yeah calling it a bad game is harsh. I loved charging up a shot and lining up multiple zombies and watching them all drop dead. So satisfying

People being upset that this UPF didn't follow a specific structure and formula are unintentionally making my point for me as to the problems this feature has had for months now. This feature started out as "we're going to hang out at the end of a Friday and do or play whatever comes naturally" and in this one that's exactly what they ended up doing.

It is a bummer that Vinny was cut short, but come on; it was obvious the energy was not with Vinny. That game was dead boring for this setting and they all had to force themselves to even try paying attention to it in the first place. If that's what people want Unprofessional Fridays to be, then I want no part of this feature going forward. This week's was hilarious. I want them to break the mold far more often.

I must have watched a different stream than most of you guys. From the moment they started watching other people stream I just tuned out. I mean, to me, that's just lazy content.

I don't know what's funnier: people being butthurt because they perceive Vinny as feeling slighted by the abrupt ending of his segment, or guitar people being butthurt because the guys were fawning over a guitar player who wasn't some god-tier axe legend (which is totally missing the point).

The only part of the show that I didn't appreciate was the Russian national anthem. I don't hate Russia, or the Russian people, but I have a bad taste in my mouth from all the recent goings on and it seemed super poorly timed, almost tasteless. Apart from that, good show that had me laughing outrageously hard at times.

EDIT: Someone pointed out to me that Drew actually played the Soviet national anthem. I think my point still sort of stands, but I was still wrong so I redact the above statement.

It really isn't the best, I love Giantbomb but I get the feeling they are doing it because they feel they have to for the premium subscribers, not because they enjoy it or want to.

I get why but they look like they have been stretched too thin for months, I used to love watching the Quicklooks even for games I weren't interested in because they were super funny, but most of the QL recently were all just a matter of fact and I find myself not wanting to watch them anymore.

GB has lost its spark, they need to stop, rethink, recharge and come back fresh.

Good lord, these comments are polarizing.

I just hope the bombcrew never stumble upon niconico livestreams, which is like twitch times 10 in the weird department.

Man, I wanted to see more of Lifeless Planet.

Best UPF in a while. although I hope they get a dedicated sound guy soon because I like have drew and vinny there.

I loved this weeks UPF. I like the vast majority of UPF's. But this week was a nice change of pace from what has been a pretty formulaic show. By no means do I want them to check out random playroom streams every week, but this was unexpected and refreshing. Nice show guys!

You know, reading the comments for this and the podcast a couple of weeks back, I think some of the Giant Bomb users are getting a wee bit sensitive about anything even resembling conflict between the guys. Brad and Jeff's "argument" was funny more than anything on the podcast, and Vinny's segment being shortened in this UPF didn't seem like it had any hard feelings anywhere in it. This is all in good fun.

Aside from that nonsense, great UPF.

No I just care about the site, I don't blindly praise them just because I like them, if there is something I don't like then I will say what and why I don't like it, just like some of the users have in here and belittling them just because you disagree with them is just as bad.

I genuinely don't understand why some people didn't like this UPF. I like GB. I like the guys behind this website. Whatever they do is enjoyable and its fun to hear their take on stuff, no matter what it is.

This was a great UPF. Just fucking awesome. It was creepy, it was funny, it was sad, then unintelligible, then funny again ...it hit notes I didn't think Giant Bomb was even supposed to. I loved it. And Drew is doing a great job behind the scenes. Vinny is great when he's in the control room, but having him on camera is great too. So, Drew bringing it when he's in the control room is just great in balancing everything out when one of them isn't on camera.

Yeah it's always bugged me when the guys don't show as much interest as I think they should to a game being shown. They really, really don't even attempt to hide it.

Otherwise a pretty funny UPF. Watching those livestreams can only be entertaining with the bombcrew commenting over them.

You must be a random dude on youtube that plays guitar and gets no attention. Relax man, it was just a funny bit that people are running with. Dont have to be a downer about it.

Personally, I've always thought UPF was a huge improvement over the old recurring subscriber content from a few years back. We used to get a Random PC Game stream once every few months at best, where now I can always count on Vinny to bring something random and PC-related most Fridays. TNT may be gone, but we can usually count on the show ending with a silly multiplayer game to close the show. Considering I really don't have time to watch every Quick Look anymore, I watch UPF every week because it's basically all the great subscriber content they used to break out into separate features, but condensed down to one weekly show of reasonable length.

But honestly, this is not good paid content. If this show is just "Let's all watch Giant Bomb hang out on a couch and do fuck all", then I really have to start questioning whether I'm getting my money's worth. Because honestly, if this week's show demonstrated anything, it's that I can get that sort of thing for free elsewhere.
