@elwoodan: yeah you would literally have to be blind and deaf to not acknowledge the greatness of some modern android phones and tablets. Im not saying ipads arent good devices but the Apple circle jerk is getting old. Disclaimer im a huge android fanboy since the g1 i would just like to see more coverage for android or at least not writing it off like its a red headed stepchild platform.

As someone who just got into the Apple thing after years of Androids, Windows Phones, and being told what I'm "missing" and that the stuff I had was shit, I don't see what the fuck is so good. Other than the fact my iPhone seems to freak the fuck out every so often and shit itself. Which is great, I guess.

Great show, guys. I spent a lot of time around famiclones/similar devices when I stayed in Asia, and the ROM set on that one seemed to have a lot of effort put into it for what it was.

I've gotta echo @satelliteoflove, though: @patrickklepek should totally check out Yume Nikki. That game is crazy, especially for a what is ostensibly an RPG Maker project (!). While you're at it, Scoops, I would check out Eversion, unless I missed it on one of your streams! ;)

The only thing that threw me for a loop in this week's show was the crew's complete dismissal of Android devices. Maybe it's because I live in Europe? I understand where @jeff and the crew are coming from, but it's not late 2011 anymore. Since the release of the Nexus 7 tablet last year, and the standardisation of the Google Play store and Ice Cream Sandwich, the quality of the tablet experience has increased dramatically.

I have a Samsing Galaxy Note Tablet (which is basically a Galaxy Tab 2, but with a pressure-sensitive Wacom pen built-in; awesome for sketching with LayerPaint pro mode), and for 90% of features, it's nearly identical to an iPad. I am by no means saying it's better than Apple's products (they got a hell of a lot right with the iPad first time around), but apart from games, we're reaching app parity for the big-name apps. And again, since the Nexus 7, the confusing ecosystem of apps not supporting certain devices is disappearing, with every app I use supporting tablet resolutions without a second-thought.

True, I do miss getting stuff like Star Command straight away, but in it's place I get ScummVM and quality emulators (check out the stuff by Robert Broglia, if that's your thing), so it's a fair trade-off in some regards.

Oh man, I'd love to hear what Patrick's thoughts are on Yume Nikki. That game was an amazing and surreal experience; there's not much quite like it. Tricky loves him some strange and unique indie games- maybe he should play it on Spookin' With Scoops!

It's a fairly well known song here in Norway.
The 101 in 1 games/controller/console never ceases to surprise with the number of potential lawsuits in one product.

I used to have the 101 games thing! It actually wasn't too horrible considering what it was.

Very unfortunate when the guys show their Android ignorance. But of course we come here for videogames. For balanced opinions of tech we go to The Verge or elsewhere.

I'm a big fan of Vinny. Camera placement on a live show is brilliant .. Maybe its the Adderall talking... But hes my hero.

Android is still behind of iOS in terms of developers deciding to make games for the platform ahead of others - big, novel games come to iOS first and android much later - if at all.

I think that's where the Giant Bomb crew's low opinion of Android comes from - seeing as they mainly care about games. However they are pretty ignorant of Android in other respects - hardware-wise android devices go toe-to-toe with iPhones and iPads and the Play Store is improving rapidly with developers now making a lot of money from the platform.

Anyway, not the place for this debate but I feel they should perhaps just admit they aren't interested in the platform rather than trying to make out its terrible all the time.

When Vinny opened that door with a red wall behind it, I was convinced it was a portal to the Meat Dimension. I love Giant Bomb.

Brad saying he would love a to play a game like skyrim on the oculus rift, well you can actually play skyrim with it, shame it turned up when it did they could have maybe set it up for it instead of the demos. here's a video of a guy playing it.

Brad was like this for 10+ minutes.

I'll have to watch this for the White Face.

A friend of mine grab a Rift. It was pretty fun to try. I played the Roller Coaster standing up and it was really weird.
