UF is more entertaining when they don't play games that just had quick looks go up that week. Cat mario and Win 95 were the most exciting moments of this show. I think that's pretty telling.

Also, Rorie might need to chill with the chat questions a bit. Chat hardly ever has anything worth asking.

I felt the same way.

I'm normally not one to bitch and complain about GB content, because I'll take what I can get, but maybe giving the GB crew some feedback on this is a good idea.

I vote that they stop playing games they Quick Looked on UPF. Last week's endless Elemental failing was just too much. And as much as I liked Patrick's original runthrough of imscared, we really didn't need to see it twice.

I love me some Matt Rorie, being an avid Screened fan when that site was still a thing. I'm also digging the new premium movie podcast with Alex. But, I really think he needs to chill with the question and chill out some on the live streams; he's a bit too much, which is completely different to how he was compared his MVP performances on the Whiskey Media Happy Hour.

This was awesome! So glad Rorie was on camera this time.

Windows 95 is still pretty much the same as modern Windows. However if you go back to Windows 3.1 then it really takes awhile to get used to.

Word Patrick....word. Rory's mic needs to be turned down to a 1 , only when everyone else is silent can he be heard, and even then it is just a whisper.

Rorie was great, the game DID seem boring. He keeps the conversation going.

Besides, who the hell watches UF (or even Quick Looks for that matter) for sincere, fair-shake, in-depth analysis on video games?? I, for one, come here for the personalities. Who gives a shit if some or all of them make fun of something they're doing? That's pretty much what happens on GB!

Heyyy, the Rorie hate train was a bit late, but it looks like it has hit full steam.

I thought the audio was just my headphones. It was really bad when Drew talked at the beginning. Sounded like water pouring or something.

Err, this is the only content I watch from GB at this point. So I definitely don't agree.

It still runs in Windows 7, and up until recently was still available on the Microsoft FTP server, not sure if they've shut down their FTP for good, or if it's just temporarily down, only 6 months ago it was available at ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/deskapps/games/public/AAS/Hover.EXE

I still think it's some of the best content on the site, besides the BioForge Endurance Run, but I kinda agree it's gotten a bit too formulaic recently. I really like Patrick's and Vinny's thing of recommending or challenging each other to play games they'd otherwise not hear of (last week's I'm Scared, and this weeks whatever the name of that was), I hope this is a trend that continues, and maybe even grows to be something the rest of the crew does.

The "found footage" format sounds like a great idea for GOTY videos...

The chat questions probably need to be cut down a bit, but other than that, the show was fine. I don't watch most of the quick looks because of the time commitment, so I'm not bothered by them revisiting some of these games.

The first game reminds me of the "Maze" screensaver from Windows 95. It also makes me wish there was an updated version of that for XP... that would be amazing.

here's the key identifiers to that statement,

The chat is made up of a bunch of teenagers/people who are able to catch a live internet show at 4pm on a Friday.

Matt Rorie is an adult who should be able to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I don't think asking for a filter, or asking matt to stop and think "This conversation on DRM that Vinny and Jeff are having, maybe I shouldn't interrupt it to ask them about atlus?"

I'm sure, in time, Rorie will be able to differentiate and use a little sense and have the gumption to not be swayed so much on the "importance" of the chat, cause in my experience, the chat is little more than white noise.

Yeah, I think it's odd that they're "Part Twoing" their Quick Looks. Some of those games I definitely didn't want to see more of, but here they are. Again with State of Decay? Ehhh. I wish they'd do more retro stuff like that Celebrity Poker or Hover! On my Unprofessional Fridays, I want to see new material! NEW!

Chat is better when everyone ignores it.

Rorie has been my favorite non-GB Whiskey Media person for a long time, and I was elated when I heard he was joining them at CBS, but I have to concur with some of the so-called "whiners." He needs to cool it with some of the chat stuff. I prefer it when the chat is something that is summoned only occasionally by Ryan, Jeff, or Vinny asking for "any questions from the chat," not something whose input is offered regularly every few minutes. The chat is seldom worth indulging.

Again, I love Rorie and I'm super stoked he's here, because he's likable and he seems like a nice, puppy-lovin' kind of fellow. (Even if he did say that Power Girl was just a set of tits. Argh.) But, yeah, he's maybe a bit overzealous in some of his new duties.

No other complaints, though. Just give me Vinny, Jeff, and Drew any time, and I will happily watch anything.

And occasionally we'll get a pleasant surprise out of it. Lethal League was pretty neat, and Bioforge resulted in an Endurance Run. And on a personal note, Time Commando brought back/ruined some nostalgic memories. Not to mention, it results in people actually talking about the game!

Quick Looks already average a half hour or more and here we get some rehashing of the same info to the rest of the staff, until everyone gets distracted by some other topic. Maybe they wanna show them playing badly, then playing after you've done some prep time...but I already have GB for the cold open and Game Informer for a far more prepared Test Chamber (that's usually much shorter but more informative).

My time isn't valuable at all. But I do believe these are some decent points that could improve the show. Maybe @jeff will have some time to think about it during the 6 hour drive.

I loved this show when it started, but it's gone steadily downhill and I actually skipped quite a bit of it this week. There are too many repeat games that were already QLed and Rorie is just interjecting way too much. I actually enjoy questions from the chat, but it needs to come at a slower pace.

That cat Mario game was awesome. So many laughs were had.
