Ah shit, another friday where I totally forgot UPF was on

Doom 64 was one of the first games I tried to find when I bought my first N64 a couple of years ago. It's actually exceptional, in a not-really-doom-and-definitely-substandard-to-the-original kind of way.

I don't give a honk about football but NFL Blitz actually looks super fun. I could see some good times playing that with friends.

@tikicobra: Blitz was a hell of a game, and we played it constantly after NBA Jam died down.

This match here, one for the ages. I imagine Dan found old tapes of Jeff and studied his game for months.

They should get 10 people in that little room to play a full size team game of Regular Human Basketball. That would be the stupidest thing.

I play my Saturn more than my PS1 or N64. Love me some Last bronx,Shining Force III,Gaurdian Heroes,Burning Rangers,Daytona USA,Asatal,Grandia,Princess Crown and a shit ton more.

I need to set a damn reminder or something. I always forget to watch the UPF stream!

I don't think I realized how weird Doom 64 was.

N64 Doom will always be the best Doom 3.

I wish I could see Jeff play arcade Blitz, I know he fixed his cabinet but you can't really run that through capture gear.

Doom 64 was really my first doom. I played it on a PC later but I still think fondly of Doom 64. I played the hell out of it and finished it. It had a lot of secrets as I remember and I really liked the unique aspect of it and how it differed from PC Doom. I also don't remember disliking the control scheme either but then I thought Turok controlled fine too. Also, I was not a dumb kid. I was in my twenties.

I understand that opinions differ but I think everyone is being a little harsh on it. For what it was, a FPS on the freaking N64, I think it was a hell of a game, especially for those that didn't have a capable PC.

I've still got my N64. This may persuade me to go find a copy of this game again after selling my original years ago.

Those are my 2 cents.

BTW, I'm not sure Brad actually got the brightness control to stick and you can get replacement controller joysticks and also fixes that improve it dramatically.

It's crazy how wrong Jeff is about 360 Blitz. You can jump pass and jack all the wide outs at the line.

@thallium: you can get copies for pretty cheap i think on ebay and the like, i rebought a copy a couple years ago for close to 5 dollars....and shipping.

Edit: Wowowow. I just HAD to go visit the chat archive on qlcrew.com at the point Brad was saying the 10xx were not THAT much faster than the 9xx cards. Needless to say I was not disappointed by chat lol

Nothing wrong with Doom 64. Same for Duke Nukem 64.

Also, that golf game looks boring as hell.

I'd really really suggest not getting the 1080 over a 1070, the 1070 is objectively a much better value. It may also be worth waiting to see if those RX 480s are as good as they seem, espicially if you're not afraid of crossfire.

Doom 64 just seems like a bad version Playstation Doom? Like it has the cool sound effects that the Playstation version has, but not much else. Also Hexen is rad.

I was super excited when Dangerous Golf was announced but I can't see myself picking it up now. It seems like a great tech demo and will hopefully lead to something closer to what those guys made their name on but it's not something I can see myself dropping money on. It seems like they know exactly what they were going for but have done a bad job of conveying that to the player.

Did they start super late, since this is such a short show?

The golf game looks like the coolest physics demo, but the boringest game ;/ which is a shame because I was super into the idea, but there doesn't seem to be anything to it now. Maybe when it's done because it should still have the "unfinished" label on it.

Up until 1 month ago my only Doom experiences were on Nintendo platforms and I still loved those games growing up. That Doom 64 segment actually made my eyes hurt. N64 games look so bad now

Doom 64 is so dope!! Brad should play the fan-made PC port, Doom64EX. It's the same game but with keyboard and mouse.

I really don't understand why the guys are so down on dangerous golf, it looks awesome.
