I stopped laughing at Jeff's jokes when I noticed he wasn't laughing at them. I noticed even Brad doesn't force himself to laugh at them, either.

I couldn't wait to get home to rewatch the birth of the prophesied DMX Goomba.

You're right, we should all be jaded, especially when we see other people as jaded and are afraid to stray from the herd.

Dan take my advice. If you want to try and kick soda all together switch to cans of seltzer water! I know what you're thinking seltzer taste terrible. I know. The crazy thing is what you find out after say 2 weeks of switching is that what you're actually addicted to in soda is not the sugar or the caffeine it's the carbonation. Since seltzer is just literally water there are 0 issues with drinking it and it totally scratches that itch you have of cracking open a can of soda. I switched at the beginning of this year and was shocked at how quickly I started preferring it over soda. Just muscle through the first 2 weeks.

The HD downloads haven't been openable in any media player for a week or two. Anyone else running into this issue? Encoding errors maybe?

Only with select videos, it has worked with most videos for me. But yeah, encoding errors on this video would be my guess, so people will have to play this in High quality.

@kristov_romanov: He's laughed at his own jokes before. In this case, it's more about the humour of what he's making happen on screen that's funny. Seeing Dan, Jason and Will laughing and having a good time while Jeff and Brad are being stone faced was weird is all...

I'm going to let you in on a secret: the only reason we tell visitors to Vegas not to drink the water is so they'll spend more money buying other things to drink. Keeps our taxes low. The water's fine.

My parents house has a well where the well water has what tastes (and smells) like sulfur in it. That tap water is not okay to drink.

No idea what @danryckert is talking about regarding Vegas water. We do have the hardest water, so it's best to run it through a Brita filter or something, but it is by no means Mexico-dangerous.

Dan, the carbonated nasty water you are thinking of is Club Soda. Don't drink that. What you want is Seltzer Water. Specifically Vintage Selters. They sell them at target. I replaced soda with them over a year ago and haven't had soda since.

Why do the HD versions of recent videos keep being busted? :( MGScanlon 4 had a busted HD version on a later episode, and this is a garbled mess at times.

I'm one of those former bulk diet soda drinkers that has mostly given it up. I get the skepticism from Jeff but I feel like that much fake sugar (Aspartame, Sucralose, Saccharin) probably isn't great even if it doesn't cause cancer like all the hippies say. I do still like to have a flavored water with meals and try to stick to Stevia based stuff. Going from diet soda to straight water 95% of the time is almost as good of a feeling as detoxing from actual soda way back in the day. Diet soda always lead to cravings for sweets for me.

Ok, so it's not just me. Thank you (to everyone). I've downloaded this and put it on a flash drive three times only to have it come up "corrupted data" when I try and watch it. Fudge.

Diet drinks are disgusting

HD download file is broken again =( That's happening a lot lately.

I don't understand when people say that they prefer diet sodas because they're not as sweet as regular ones. They don't have sugar, but they're still sweetened, often with substances that have even more of a sickeningly sweet taste. If diet sodas simply were less sweet I'd be totally into them, but instead they just all taste actually sweeter to me, plus have a disgusting bitter/sweet/weird aftertaste.

Have you tried anything with Aspartame (e.g., Coke Zero) instead of Sucralose (e.g., Diet Coke)? Aspartame is not nearly as sickly sweet and has that wonderfully bitter bite you'd expect from a regular Coke.
