Bleh, that wasn't too hot. I'm glad it reminded me of Pacman Fever's existence, though. MegaSphere looks great as well, but I'd much rather have a linear game instead of metroidvania.

I just got back from a music festival at Watkins Glen a couple weeks ago (Phish's Magnaball. Yes, I like Phish...), and it was super weird watching cars barrel down the road at high speeds right where I walked across the track to go from the campgrounds to the concert field. I love that they rendered the RVs and tent canopies on the infield.

They were talking about controllers on PC; I've not yet heard any of them pass any comment on the Steam Controller.

@tgjessie: Last time they discussed it they seemed to rather want to play with a console controller, and with a mouse for games that require it.

i love how experimental F1 sounds. you think they'd have it mostly figured out by now.

The problem with Forza is the career is boring, there is no story or progression to it that you'd want. Playing Forza 5 all you did was pick a car, start in either of two positions, do 2-4 laps and do that over and over again. In previous F1 games you start in a crap team and work your way up, in Project Cars you start in Karting and work your way up. You have to qualifying, you do practice, you have fuel and tyre wear simulation, you have pitting etc etc. On top of that though, why not try something like Fight Night Champion where you have a full story?

Then you have the online, which is just as arcadey as the single player, there is no qualifying or practise, there are no leagues, you only do 2-4 laps and the Hopper system sucks!

After playing iRacing, I cannot play anything else, it's perfected the Online racer and no one else has caught up. You need structure, you need progression, you need a proper penalty system, you need to have all the simulation stuff if you're claiming to be a sim.

Plus Forza is on the Xbox One, a console that needs it's on wheel that doesn't work across the board. The PS4 is allowing old OEMs to retrofit their wheels to it from the PS3, Sony aren't fussed what the wheel does. Where as Microsoft need this chip inside it and won allow it to work on any other system but the PC :\ It's just dumb, it means you have to buy a special Xbox One wheel, which right now the options are rather shit.

Oh yeah and also Forza 5 had no FoV settings, which made it so crap. So far I cannot find an answer on if you can change the FoV in this game, but like with FPS games, if I cannot change it, no THANX!

Well now the guys are just being mean to @drewbert by discussing how good MGSV is while he isn't allowed to play it.

I thought the whole point of the MGScanlon feature was for Drew to experience the series "like a normal guy". But now he is forgoing that experience so he can play MGSV in momentumless bits and chunks on video a few times a week. Will they turn it into an unofficial Endurance Run, or make it like that last week of MGScanlon 4 where @unastrike was getting videos out there every day? I don't know if even @danryckert could handle that workload.

I really feel like we should just get a weekly "Dan plays WoW" style check in for MGSV, because Drew has to be able to talk about the game during GOTY, and what are you going to have him do, plug his ears or leave the room when the game inevitably comes up for awards? Story twists, best endings, all will probably be spoiled for no reason.

@pogman: have you ever considered just not buying things and moving on with your life instead of writing detailed posts on giantbomb.com about each and every videogame related item you don't like

I really like these guys, but I can't stop laughing when they talk about beers. I know my country, Portugal, isn't as great as Germany and Ireland in the beer department but I still found it hilarious when Giant Bomb talks about beer.

Now that we know exactly what MGSV is, I have nothing against Drew and Dan pulling out of a video series for it. I'm not so sure if I even want to watch it, to be honest.
