So close to release date and yet not a single mention of this game. I, for one, am very much looking forward to it and was wondering what was the Giant Bomb's opinion on it (or the first game for that matter). It's about time we get another brilliant sniper experience.

Gosh, just saw this was coming out. Totally loved the first one on the xbox. I vaguely remember the multiplayer being kind of crazy. Hope to see a load our last save, or random pc game for the first one. Pretty stoked to see this new one too.

I remember liking the first one, and from what I've seen of this it is looking pretty good. But I'm not sure if Rebellion can deliver (after all they don't have the greatest track record).

I think the demo is coming out next week on Xbox LIVE so I'll check it out then and make my decision.

My roommate walked in right before I entered into the testicular kill cam and watched in awe/horror as the soldier's balls exploded. We then both yelled at how disgusting/incredibly awesome it was.

Amen. The first game was epic, the demo for the sequel was epic. My money has been put down.

I played it and the game was interesting but it had some major problems. Mainly on the AI part. The AI in V2 has some funky behavior but I am hoping they fixed it for the full release.

On a different note; I am really liking the lighting in the game.

Yes but they can't sell it at £40. I will jump in at £20 or rent it if they take to long getting to a reasonable price point.

Hey guys it's made by Rebellion. You know, the people who brought you such gems as NeverDead, Rogue Warrior and Aliens vs Predators (2010). Temper your enthusiasm because these guys rarely manage to make a game that isn't broken in some way.

I hear the demo is pretty good, but I'm just not into sniping enough to buy a game just dedicated to it. Maybe as a small downloadable thing with that MK style X-ray tech, then I would be on board.

Yeah, but so was the original Sniper Elite. This game, with the edition of more in-depth kill cams, seems to be mostly the same. Don't get me wrong, I hate the majority of stuff Rebellion puts out, but this is like the one thing they're decent at.

Don't miss out the "Kill Hitler" DLC, guys. You don't have the chance to shoot at the Fuhrer in every game.

They just announced that the 12 player Deathmatch mode is gonna be PC only. That is rather bizarre but kinda makes sense too. They can do whatever they want since they self publish the PC version.

What?! I tried shooting many a guy in the testicles, but the killcam never showed. Figured they were humane enough not to include it.

Aw man, and I can't play on my xbox for like 2 months.

The game looked like good fun to me as despite myself I cannot resist a good shooter and love WW2 games too. I tried the demo and ran through the assasination about 5 times and still have the urge to put it back on again.

Playing with all the aids off I get a real kick out of adjusting for wind and drop and pulling of a great shot at distance. If the game offers more of the same as the demo I will be more than happy when my preorder is dispatched.

Try the demo and see how you get on!

All this 100%. I was paying no attention to this game a week ago. Just played through the demo multiple times on Elite and I pre-ordered immediately after. The ballistics are realistic enough to where a shooting enthusiast like myself didn't turn my nose up at it, and the gamer in me thought it was just plain fun. It's a good balance. If you want absolute realism, go to the range or toe the line and enlist.

And you can play the whole campaign co-op apparently. Stoked.

I watched the first one with interest for months and then forgot about it. About two years later it showed up on steam for two bucks. I had my fun with it and am curious about the next one, but not enough to buy it on release. I hope it is awesome because while the first one had its issues, nobody has done sniping like this series. Even those ghost warrior games were more like the COD4 sniper level than simulation based on what I played. I did enjoy that one too until they locked me out of my account somehow.

I don't know, I don't like that the balls just explode into blood. Why can't they be torn up and disfigured like every other part of the body in the game?

@jillsandwich: Chances are most of the dev crew were guys, no guy likes animating a bunch o' balls being sliced and diced.
