No relic = no sale.

I need a new character for this game... Who's a fun character to pick up? I'm leaning toward maybe Raphael or Yoshimitsu, but I'm still open to suggestions.

The bigger problem for SC V is that he has no arcade ending and does not show up in the story, he plays fine though

As someone who played a lot of Mitsurugi is previous games, I can confidently say that I have no clue what this "relic" is.

I know not of this relic you speak of. Please elaborate.

I've never played Soul Calibur and I know what the relic is.

I believe ''relic'' is one of his stances, ''mist'' being another one.

After googling it, yes, this is what the OP appears to be talking about. Apparently they removed his Relic stance in SCV.

@WrathOfBanja Z.W.E.I. seems like he could be crazy fun with unblockable setups etc. Personally I am loyal to Ivy but she's more flash than substance.

Relic is his sheathed sword stance, which had a lot of awesome moves attached to it. My only theory as to why they removed it is that one of those moves is now his super move.

I never actually gave him a proper look. I just wrote him off as some weird gimmick character. I suppose I can at least give him a try :P

Yoshimitsu and Voldo are really fun characters to play because they are so all over the place. Yoshimitsu has some pretty cool stances as well.

I always thought Ivy was one of the deeper characters with her many different stances in holding her whip/sword? I never used her correctly because she simply had too many stances for me to care about learning at the time. I remember her having it in sword form, then holding the whip above her head, then as if she was tightening it, and then the regular loose whip, and possibly more...

Ivy WAS one of the deeper characters, but from what I hear she lost a bunch of stances as well and is now fairly gimped.

Ivy's still good, far from being "gimped". The same goes for Mits. I don't really see why the loss of a few moves/stances matters so much. They include a lot of new moves and mechanics that more than makes up for, in my opinion. Though admittedly, as a Raphael player since SoulCalibur 2, I'm used to my character being radically different every game.

Wait how can you be a true Mitsurugi fan and you don't remember the Relic stance o.O..........I know that everytime I go into the stance i feel a since of ease and confidence......I really hate what they did and don't see a reason why Mitsurugi somehow magically just forget a whole damn style...i mean does that make since at all? No it doesn't because he don't have alzheimers....if he did his name would be unknown or something wierd, he's have a different all round fighting style and his appearnce(clothes and such) probably would be different... SCV my ass more like Soul blade
