[edit] With all the sand in this game, is that why it's called "The Line"? The line... in the... sand...?

#15 Posted by senrat (313 posts) -

Wow i wasnt expecting much from this game. This interview changed my mind.

#16 Edited by Adamantium (885 posts) -

Either way, the game looks interesting.

Greg Kasavin man. Awesome :)

#23 Posted by NoXious (1338 posts) -

Yay! It's Greg again!

#24 Posted by ZanzibarBreeze (3069 posts) -

Did I detect a Heart of Darkness-esque plot? The guy you're trying to rescue is Conrad. He seems to have helped these people survive, and maybe they've joined his cult. And he doesn't want to be rescued. So... Apocalypse Now, but in Dubai? There better be audio logs.

Also... tango down.

#25 Edited by LeadNinja (308 posts) -

What he said about "rescuing a leader who doesn't necessarily want to be rescued" sounds a bit like Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now.  Could be interesting.

Edit:  Oh, and the general is called "Konrad", so that's a pretty obvious Joseph Conrad reference.

#26 Posted by onimonkii (2429 posts) -

this looks like kill.switch but better

#27 Posted by prencher (105 posts) -

So it's Apocalypse Now in Dubai?

I'm interested.

Great to see Greg again. I'm very excited for this game. I don't know what it is, maybe that trailer had a bigger effect on me than I thought.

#33 Posted by Cheapoz (1064 posts) -

Keep this between you and me but >_> <_< >_> ... that's probably because it isn't a FPS game.

Yeah, boy! I was a little put off at first with the whole "third-person-shooter" moniker that was thrown around at first, but I have to say, I think I'll be watching this one. Story sounds interesting.

Lol. You know what I mean.  Compared to your average shooter, it looks a little more unique.
#42 Posted by ImmortalSaiyan (4676 posts) -

Any game Greg Kasavin is producing is a game I want to play.
#43 Posted by Nemesis (317 posts) -

Buying this game just because Greg is working on it. One of the best reviewers on Gamestop, ever!

Hey, Greg, great to "meet" you, hehehe!

I used to use Gamespot as my primary source of game info, mainly because of Greg and Jeff. This game is now a must buy.
#47 Posted by snakeitachi (99 posts) -

GREG OMGGGGGG
#48 Posted by RobotHamster (4171 posts) -

Hmmm, I think it can go either way with this one.

#49 Posted by Dark_Lord_Spam (3157 posts) -

Kasavin down.

#50 Posted by spilledmilkfactory (1845 posts) -

this looks like it could go either way right now. the previews have gotten me pretty excited, but it could still turn out to be yet another third person shooter with cover and tacked on morality elements. that said, the presence of greg on the team is pretty inspiring. he knows what's up. so i'll be keeping a watchful eye on this one.
