Neil Patrick Harris Voices (A) Spider-Man In Shattered Dimensions
Just because you hate NPH doesn't mean he's just some internet meme. People love him because he's genuinly funny and aswell as a fine actor. If you'd actually do a bit of research you'd know that the reason he's been cast in this game is because he has experiance voicing Spider-man in the past.
If there was something put NPH back on the map is his role Starship Troopers since then has been steadily work.
I suppose the fact that he has voiced acted Spider Man among other comic book related voice acting doesn't qualify the guy for this gig.
The sad thing is he may be the only good thing about this game because it sure looks like a stinker.
Oh, NPH, I would follow you anywhere and do anything for you.
Yes, ANYTHING.
But I'm still not sure I'd buy this game. That gameplay footage they posted made the combat look clunky and repetitive.
" He's fighting Juggernaut. I like Spiderman and all, but he's no match for Juggernaut. "He's actually taken on Juggernaut before and won in the comics, so...
" How do I flag idiots so that I'll never have to see their comments again? "If you could do that, this site would be mostly empty.

Had you actually read on, you'd know that the guy voiced Parker in the very cool, yet very short lived MTV cartoon some time ago. Had you known more about the game, you'd know that they are casting voice actors who've played Parker before. You'd know that they got Dan Gilvezan, who voiced Spider-Man in 1983 to play. He's voicing Miguel O'Hara as the Spider-man of 2099. You'd know that Christopher Daniel Barens is playing Noir Spider-Man, from the hugely popular 1995 cartoon. And now they have NPH playing this one. They didn't pull NPH out of nowhere just because he happens to be popular at the time. The guys at Activision are smarter than that. One of the biggest things Spider-man fans are going to latch on to is that people who've voiced Spider-man in the past are coming back to do it again. So one of their biggest pushes to sell the game, just made your entire point about shoving NPH in there like he doesn't belong completely invalid." @JeffGoldblum said:Neil Patrick Harris is consistently good at what he does, but few people legitimately love him. If you've been paying attention, you'll have recognized that NPH was brought back into the limelight once more because he wa a "random" celebrity that 4chan could make fun of. It went from Vin Diesel, to Mr. T, to Chuck Norris, to "That Doogie Howser guy lol!" Except this time around, NPH capitalized on his newly-found being-made-fun-of. Very few people LOVE Neil Patrick Harris. Very few people find his acting exceptional or incredible, and very few have personal feelings associated with him and his work. People in this thread (and all over the internet) just write HELL YEAH NPH!!!1 because it wins them cool points online. He's not beloved; he's a meme. He's infinitely better than Rick Astley, but it's the same thing...Astley's album sales have increased thanks to Rick-Rolling being done over and over and over again to the point where some people don't even realize their love was ironic in the first place. NPH is getting into everything, even things that he's not right for or don't require him, because he's the new meme and big-name companies want to capitalize on 14-year-olds thinking something's funny if they keep saying it over and over and over and over again. I honestly feel bad for Harris, because he sees the roles and money raking in and thinking "Wow, people must really like me! What a comeback!" And while it's there it's not really because of his ability, it's because Family Guy pulled another name out of a hat to reference, to make the joke that "Doogie Howser = gay! lol!" Hollywood has capitalized, and by now people are stuck in a loop, not realizing that the entire reason he's a noteworthy celebrity in 2010 is because we dug him up to point and laugh. Remember the first Harold & Kumar? He fulfilled a role that ANY small-name, outdated celebrity could fill for a silly "comeback" scene. The guy has talent, but few people care about his talents as much as they do hopping on the ironic bandwagon. "" @Manhattan_Project said:And thank YOU for proving MY point! Spiderman has ALWAYS has a real corny sense of humour in the comics and that's one point I felt that the movies really failed to deliver on. I've watched a couple of trailers of that new Batman cartoon where NPH voices Nightwing,he always does a great job.The man sure loves his comic book heroes.Awesome guy
Neil Patrick Harris in Neil Patrick Harris Neil Patrick Harris Neil Patrick Harris Neil Patrick Harris?" I would rather play a game with four different Neil Patrick Harris's. "

You'd know that Christopher Daniel Barens is playing Noir Spider-Man, from the hugely popular 1995 cartoon. And now they have NPH playing this one.I'm completely out of the loop, and never really got into Spiderman, but I think that's super awesome that they've gone out of their way to cast past voice actors into this game. I didn't know they were doing that, but now that I do, I'm infinitely more interested in the game, since people providing voice-work really know the character. Neat bit of info.
Cool info on voicework, but until I hear from people that this game is good, I'll pass. Not crazy about Spider-Man as he's portrayed in the comics anyways, I prefer the movie adaptation of him. (Although the upcoming gritty reboot is probably too much...)
That said, if buzz goes around that this game is really good, I'll still definitely grab it. Also, anybody know how much travel there's going to be in this game? I mean, I think many of us can agree that probably the best thing about the Spider-Man 2 video game is how awesome it is just to swing around NYC, so I'm curious as to whether that aspect is returning or not.

" NPH in a game? SOLD. Still curious as to why "Symbiote" is called "Ultimate". Will it be based off teenaged Parker from the Ultimate Spiderman series? The symbiote was present for a very short time in those comics. "They needed the black costume and Ultimate Spider-Man is BASICALLY the same as 616 Spider-Man (at least in powers), so this was a way to easily differentiate the two.
yes!
it'll be legen... wait for it... keep waiting... hope you're not lactose intolerant cause here comes the dary!
