Activision just stop please
Every year Activision puts Spider-man game and with each game I feel that this game franchise will end up like Tony Hawk, wont take a break, comes out with a peripheral and die a slow death. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is not helping the franchise become like Tony Hawk. This game is missing one key element, story. Spider-man trying to stop Mysterio from stealing a tablet.Spider-man punches it, breaking it pieces and it flies in to other Dimensions, Why? I don't know, the game doesn't give a reason why that happen and doesn't give a reason why we need to get the piece back.
The game play is mostly the same for every level, the Noir levels have stealth game play to it. You fight some bad guys then you fight the boss just to have him run and fight more bad guys to get to the boss again where they have used the tablet and grew stronger. There are two levels where you have to destroy something or save hostages and fight bad guys. You play as four different spider-mans. Amazing, Ultimate and 2099 feel the same but Noir is weak.
The only thing this game got right was the graphs. Cut scenes looks wonderful, I would love to see a show or movie made with it. Each world looks great, I love the Noir levels with the black and white 1930's look to it. character models look good but a few time when some of them spook and their mouth was visible it wouldn't move. Voicing is good but there is one thing that bugs me. Neil Patrick Harris does the voice for amazing spider-man, Christopher Daniel Barnes the person who voiced spider-man in the Fox 90's cartoon is voicing Noir spider-man. Why is he voicing Noir? The first spider-man game he does and it is Noir? I hate Neil Patrick Harris a little for this. One more thing that bugs me about the game is Deadpool, ok I don't know anything about him but I do not think that Deadpool acts like a 1970's game show host! After this game I do not want to touch an other Spider-man game made from Activision. When you have a comic book series with tons of stories and you can't even put a story in the game? That is when you need to stop.
