Star Wars Republic Commando Review - Halo Empire

Star Wars is a great franchise . wamprats getting bulseyed , jedi squaring off and now we have this . The greatest Star wars shooter ever . Many Games in the past have tried to do this such as the jedi knight series and rebel strike but commando stands out .
You play as Boss . The leader of a kickass group of commando troopers sent by the republics clone army to do their very gory dirty work . An when i say gore most think it's STAR WARS THERE IS NO WAY IT'S GORY! . Boy are they wrong the game sports a twelve rating which makes it accesible to younger star wars fans but it makes me fill like im in a 16 because of certain aspects such as the blood on the visor effect and the occasional cursing . The enviroments sway to this also . If your faimiliar with the massive colourfull palate that is star wars be in for a shock . The spaces in this game harken back to games like doom and fear . There is a section about half of the way through the game called the derelict assult ship .Enough said . This games graphics are great . When i got a new computer last year i was so stocked about playing this game that i read all the specs on the back of the case to match with my new system . For a 2004 game things like the lighting , shadowing and textural applications look amazing . There are a few muddy textures but overall this is a stern performer . The games single player campaign is great going through a wide range of enviroments form different settings . The multiplayer however is not as good . It's the same ordinary deathmatch and capture the flag modes that we all know and love . Its deffinantly the single player this game was designed for  and it rocks in that respect . If you dont own this game what are you waiting for . I recomend it to everyone especially star wars fans !

With an introduction so slick it couldn't have been trusted to be the game's tutorial, Star Wars: Republic Commando starts off strong, but never quite harnesses the strength of its opening sequence. You get to see the short version of how a clone was created, trained and purposed in the Clone War era of the Star Wars universe. Cast into the role of Delta Squad's commander, you are the leader of the ragtag group of superior clones that do the dirty work other clones are too basic to do. You, your...

      One Hit Wonder 0

Star Wars Republic Commando was one of my favorite games at last year's E3.  Thankfully, the game has developed nicely in the last nine months.  Republic Commando doesn't necessarily offer much in terms of innovation as it borrows heavily from other games, but thankfully they chose some of the best games of this generation to borrow from.  The HUD has the in-the-helmet view like Metroid.  The gameplay feels much like Halo.  And you are the leader of Delta squad, a four man team of clone sol...
