Well sign ups for the Old Republic Beta have begun. Hopefully it's not extremely tough to get into. As of right now the site is down due to an overwhelming response so I dunno. It should be up in the next few hours so get your F5 finger ready. This game looks awesome and this may just be the first MMO I'll be willing to actually pay for. Hopefully most of us will get in.

I have no interest in playing a new MMO. But I shall sign up anyway, because i like to be an asshole and decrease your chances of ever getting in by a very small percentage.

I don't think it's a first come first served basis, so there's no rush.
But yes, I completely agree, this may be the first MMO I'd actually be willing to pay for, but I'm still hoping they can come up with a better system than paying a flat fee each month.  It's a pretty antiquated system.

Been hitting he F5 key for the last 3 hours. I think my finger is actually starting to bleed a little. 
 
If i don't get into this beta i will have a rage attack like Hitler in this video.

The SWTOR site has got to be one of the most bug-ridding pieces of trash I've ever had the displeasure of enduring. Ugh. It just took me fifteen minutes to log in, I had to give up completely on Firefox and use IE to even sign in.

yea i still haven't gotten in. it just keeps looping me back to the sign up...

I caught on the SWTOR forums that filling in both phone numbers helps. I managed to complete after doing that.

Wow, what a load. The account creation loop screwed me out of the name I wanted to use. Fucking lame start, Bioware. Not a good sign.
 
Edit: screw them. I'm not taking the time to fill out all the forms for a millionth time. If they can't bother to get their signup sheet right, they've already lost me.

Just signed up.  The process is a little broken, but hopefully it a leads to getting into the beta!
