will Starcraft 2 be enjoyable? I've seen it played, but never tried it myself. I tried Halo Wars a while back, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I've never been much into RTS in the past, but SC2 has caught my interest.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
Game » consists of 10 releases. Released Jul 27, 2010
The first chapter in the StarCraft II trilogy focuses on the struggles of the Terran race, as seen through the eyes of Commander Jim Raynor, leader of the rebel group Raynor's Raiders.
For someone who didn't like Halo Wars...
Halo Wars is an awful game, Starcraft 2 is like 5 billion times better, so if any game is going to get you into RTS' Starcraft 2 is the game.
@Slaker117: I kinda think it was using the 360 controller actually. I felt like I had very inaccurate control over my troops, especially if I was in a rush.SHOULD HAVE TRIED ENDWAR
DEM FLUID CONTROLS
Either way, if you have any interest in RTSs in general, I think you'll probably enjoy SC2.

StarCraft 2 is amazing. I've never loved RTSs much but I love StarCraft 2.
I agree. I've never been a big fan of the RTS genre (except for Age of Empires II), but I really enjoyed the time that I spent with SC2. The level of polish on every aspect of the game is insane, and the single-player and multi-player are both setup in such a way that they can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone regardless of skill level.
If Starcraft 2 can't make someone like RTS games then nothing can. I think I've replayed the campaign 5 times. Didn't play regular mp much but the custom co-op maps made by blizzard and the community are amazing fun, especially the base and tower defense ones. But yeah the biggest selling point for sc2 to non-rts gamers is its super noob friendly, good tutorials, good challenge maps that teach you basics, normal campaign is very forgiving and casual is downright tard-friendly.
In summary; even if you never touch the "serious" multiplayer portion of the game it has tonnes and tonnes of awesome to offer that anyone can play.
I did. I think it's an extremely underrated game, and I think the majority of people who don't like it never played it and are just assuming RTSs on consoles are bad. Combine that with the game having Halo in the title and I'm actually pretty confident in that.Umm... did anyone like Halo Wars?
It was actually a pretty decent game.
But in regards to OP, yeah, you'll like starcraft 2.
Ew. Don't let Halo Wars inform your opinion on the strategy genre at all.
That's like saying I didn't like Fracture, will I enjoy Uncharted 2?

I liked it, too. Me and my buddy beat it on legendary, and every level was pretty intense and a ton of fun. Can't say I tried any competitive multiplayer though, probably because there was just too much for me to play at the time.
And as for this topic, if the issue is the controls, then a PC will be a remedy. But as said before, try the demo to get a feel for it.
