So, since I got home at around 1:30 mountain today, I haven't been able to get a single match in SFIV. It's been 3 hours now, and I still can't. After doing some digging, it seems that I'm not the only one. Though nothing has been said about it, most people believe we're finally getting the long promised patch. Apparently, there is evidence of this when you view your friends playing the gaming, and it says "Championship req" or something. None of my friends are playing, so I can't see. 

RACING HOME!!!! Please let it be so!

I HOPE ITS TRUE. 

I just got done playing a 6 hour session of SF4. While I was dropped mysteriously from to time to time, I never had to patch anything when I logged back in.

I tried earlier and couldn't find any games... on the 360.  Haven't checked again yet, but the delay better have been for something :P

just tried and no games for me either, and the REQ: CHAMPIONSHIP is popping up for other players too.

Yeah I was on arcade req and I played through all of arcade without a single match.   Hope this is true.

Must be a "360" thing since I just popped back into SF4 (on PS3) for a couple more matches and everything went through fine.

word, cant find any opponents either.

I wasn't able to find any matches or even get anyone to join my matches for about an hour earlier today, so I gave up and played some BattleForge.

If this does mean a patch is coming, I'd say a day of not playing is worth it.

Thank GOD.  I was seriously worried.  It just so happened that during the last match I played the power went off and needless to say, it made me quit out.  I thought I was banned or something.  I'm glad this is an actual problem for other people too....that didn't sound right....whatever, I'm glad you can't get into the game!

Well, I can access games now, and no patch came. Looks like it was a false alarm.

Could mean they were preparing the ranked servers and such for a patch coming soon, it's really tough to say but I could see that being a possibility since I think they mentioned changes to matchmaking in some way, didn't they?

I've seen pics going around of Xbox Live status with people playing Championship mode.

So SFIV didn't see a patch today, and it's still near impossible to get a match going.  Anyone have any news that I haven't seen anywhere online?

According to shizowa san over at the official Street Fighter Dev blog, next Friday, April 17th, will mark the anouncement of something regarding SF4.
