Sorry but that really was not worth it.

I've had this happen to me before, it was unbelieveable!
 
It wouldn't matter in this case here but I hate the fact that some special moves only 'end' (for the lack of a better word) the clock on the final hit even if the guy had 1% health when you started. Like Zangief here, instead of it killing an enemy on the first it, you have to sit through 6 more seconds of animation until the clock stops and the round's over. All special moves should stop the clock the second all the healthbar's gone, like Sagat or Ryu's ultras, for instance.

That was pretty damn hilarious.

That's how Zangief was designed to win. Very rarely do I win with him in some whirlwind victory. I'm usually at almost no health and then I grab the motherfucker with a maximum ULTRA and take the remaining 60% of his life bar. And then they disconnect.

I don't know about punching a sickly puppy, but something would get broken! So, the final hit had to be in the time limit for the combo to register?

Oh wow, you'd think they'd let him finish the ultra since it connected before the time ran out. It seems like a pretty silly mechanic that you have to do Giefs ultra before the timer hits six or seven seconds.

Good, I hope the Gief player decides to never play again because of it.

I've actually seen that a few times online my self.  A funny thing that finally happened to me is that I got a "Draw Game".  That has never happened to me before.

I've also had this happen, as cheap as it feels, I have no problem letting the timer run out in the middle of someone's ultra.
