Although I'm sure this has been asked a million times before. I just want to some advice from people who know the game better than I. I have been growing bored of using the same three characters. (Ryu, Ken, Sagat) Because they're good beginner characters. I want to venture away from those three and any other characters that are really similar, such as Akuma. So if anyone could give any suggestions that'd be great. Although I have to admit Ibuki and Dee Jay have kind of grown on me.

Good Characters for Beginners?
E. Honda. He has an easy game plan to understand, good normals, and he just does random shit until he wins. Done.
So you don't want to play with beginner characters?
I think you should just train with all of the characters until you find your favorite.
im a newb but i actually just picked everybody until i found one that was cool...if you pick a character like say Blanka cause he's easy but you're not really having fun why pick him..even if the character you choose isnt the easiest but you like him/her..
you'll have a ton of fun getting your ass kicked as you learn how to play...and they keep telling me just to play/go for it
with time an effort you'll get whoever you choose mastered..
The post already said that he's tired of using Ryu, Ken and Sagat...
If you want to venture out to a different character, Cody and Ibuki are good choices.
Cody has move motions similar to the shoto characters. The only problem with Cody is that he doesn't have a good wakeup game.
Ibuki is really a good character, but she's a tricky and risky fighter to use considering that she has moves that leaves her open when missed. But she really has a good high and low attack mix ups.
If you're running into a wall with the characters you mentioned, try out some charge characters. I do the same thing, although in the opposite order. My main characters are Honda and Chun, so when I get bored of them, I pick up a non-charge character.
" The correct answers are Makoto, Gen and Seth. All those characters are super easy to use. "Don't forget Ibuki and Dudley
Zangief has a lot of stamina and his hits inflict high stun damage. Use carefully though as he is a bit slower and his moves are completely different from the Ken style.
I dont ever like answering this question. Its not about what characters are easy to use but its about what character interests you. Youll enjoy learning the game more if your playing a character that interests you.
Ryu, nuff said. Not becuse he's easy but he is a good gate way with other characters even other shotos though strats vary..
I'm not sure, but so far I have enjoyed Blanka, Juri, Adon, Cody, and El Fuerte. And the occasional Zangief.
" I'm stubborn and stick with Cammy and Balrog. Even though I'm pretty terrible, I can fairly often beat people with Balrog. "Heh... Actually I tend to play Cammy too, since I just find her fun to play.
...But if I want to change my loosing streak - I change to Guile.
Funny how that works.
" @PhaggyBigNastyMcKill said:Then use Blanka and turbo away." Just use Honda and turbo away "That wont get you anywhere. "
That won't teach you anything." @JJOR64 said:

Pick a Character with strong reliance on fundamentals (i.e. how good are there normal moves, easy to combo into Ultras, Zoneing etc) Don't pick Juri as your first character as she is nothing like any of the other Characters so it will be hard to understand alot of her moves and why they do what the do. Pick Ryu, or Akuma if you want to play a fireball character Balrog if you want a Charge character. These 3 characters I find have the most basic gameplay at a begging level but once you start getting better they have a ton of advanced tools/setups that are both effective and easy to pull off.
Guile is also a very good Character for beginners litterlly needs 0 combos to win. But has very good normals which will help you learn about spacing and anti air.
I haven't played Streetfighter much but I have found the most fun with Juri and Cody, but I do occasionally play Dudley.
" I haven't played Streetfighter much but I have found the most fun with Juri and Cody, but I do occasionally play Dudley. "I really don't think Juri is a good choice for begginers because of her unsafe air dive kick causes alot of new players to just spam it...same with her wheel kick.
