I got a replacement joystick and it came with new dust covers and a sleeve.

Here's my standard ass TE (and my EVO badge lol).
I plan to get some plexi, change the buttons and insert art when I have some dollars.
This design has been used before, but I made some minor alterations to the template floating out there. You really can't tell from the pic, but I did some color changes, changes to the lines around the buttons, and some minor tweaking to the characters.
I have a standard TE, but its my TE... know what I mean? Cue Full Metal Jacket quote.
Its well on its way out the door, though. 700 hours of play and a bad temper equals fairly unresponsive buttons and a snapped side-panel.

If you are going to sell...how much?
Hey do you have a link to the PSD file of that? Also I am planning to change the art in my SE. Will I have to put the new one over the current default?" I'll find the PSD and provide a download link. It might not be until after work though.
I peeled off my old art, which is what I'd suggest you do if you are going to change the art. I'll post a blog about the process soon.
Oh all right thank you dude. If I peel it off the original, will it be possible to put it back or is it some point of no return affair (I can't return it anyways I bought it directly from Mad Catz at Comic-Con)?" You'd not be able to put the old art back on, so before peeling it off, make sure you have the art you want, the print looks good, and that you have your cuts aligned well. In my blog post I'll cover all that.
If I had the money for a new one I'd happily sell it to make up the rest.
I am currently working on my own template. I was thinking of just keeping it minimalistic or make it look like Refused's The Shape of Punk To Come album.
Here's the download link to the template I used for the Ryu/Sagat art. This is before I made any modifications to it, but it should be easy for anybody to make their own changes, such as changing the background color or altering the lines.
Also, if you're going to share this with other people, please download it and either send it to them or upload it somewhere else as I'm just providing this link from my blog and I don't want to run too much bandwidth through it. You guys are free to download as you wish, however.

It took me a bit to get the sandpaper background and it resulted in this almost complete build (I might have to update the purple shape; looks bad). I was a bit limited by the image sizes of the group and the wider space but I think it looks all right. I might do a minimalistic version with just the logo and background. Oh yeah I messed up the quote." @ThePhantomnaut: Oo. I like. But I think the base should be more of a cream, like the cover of the album :) otherwise, wonderful. "
I tried making a stick from scratch - I failed, miserably. Stupid soldiering and trying to hack a Madcatz PCB. The triggers don't work, the buttons are glitchy and have a tendancy to stop working. I should tell myself to get bent. Next time I'll just buy a plexiglass / metal base, stick all my crap in it and get someone professional to soldier using a custom PCB that doesn't need so much modding. Ugh. Every time I think about I feel like crying or crawling into the corner to die, I spent too much time and too many resources on this. I f'ing suck! Damnit all!
I have a sanwa stick with all the cool bubbles inside an orange top. Some type of buttons, they arn't crappy american ones, but they arn't sanwa either. Ugh. My case is made of wood, that my dad helped build.
I guess i'll buy a regular madcatz stick for MVC3 when it comes out. Argh!
All because of the stupid PCB, and I had to buy like 3 controllers to find the right one, and then the stupid triggers need an inverted signal/current. God! What a nightmare!
At least it was an interesting learning experience I guess. I should have just modded a regular SF4 stick :(
All this was before you could buy a fight stick and they costed a whole lot.
My two modded fightsticks. I'm quite pleased with the Sam and Max one, though it was really hard to photograph. Stupid flash glare on my nice new plexi.
Pics! Got this baby 3 weeks ago. Works with PC, PS3 and 360, which is pretty rad. Had to make some sacrifices though, as you will see in the last picture. Gonna change the artwork on both the new and the old stick, but I don't know when (and how!)
i have a TE, a Hori FS3 and a dreamcast stick (is a friends but will prob buy one soooon)
all rock there stock buttons, stick and art im too lazy to mod them
6 Sanwa buttons and a Sanwa 8-way stick. 2 black tops for the buttons I'm not using. Couldn't tell you which, I'd have to look at the receipt. Ordered them with a friend from some store in Germany." @gosukiller: what kinda parts is that thing rocking button/stick wise.... i have a TE, a Hori FS3 and a dreamcast stick (is a friends but will prob buy one soooon)all rock there stock buttons, stick and art im too lazy to mod them "
Here's mine:
I was really nervous because it was the first time I ever took anything like this apart but it ended up being pretty fun.
Is there a good repository for SF fan or just flat out pre-made stick art besides doing random google searches and wading through forum posts on SRK??
@liquidsaiyan: thanks man :) I usually go on deviantart and search there for decent art, I especially like the stuff by the Udon Crew ( http://udoncrew.deviantart.com/). Otherwise, I know it's a pain to wade through but srk is kinda the place to go.
outta curiosity does any1 that resides in the uk know anywhere to get HQ art printed out for this?
Sup guys i havent posted in a long while so here are some of my own SE's i have modded. I own 6 of them but not all are shown here (they arent modded yet). So here are the back and front shots of them, the cowboy bebop one is ps3. FLCL, guile/ryu, and Yoko are 360. The SF2 Championship Edition one is dual modded, i built it specifically for evo 2010. Enjoy.

I'm digging the throwback stuff and the art on the bottom (world map is GENIUS and UDON comic(?) art looks sexy).
I'm assuming that's just more plexi on the bottom??

"The art on the bottom is just regular Lamilabel from Kinkos (same stuff as the top) i just made a template for the bottom so i can add that little touch. Yeah it is Udon stuff i scanned in a bunch of my comic books.@M_33 said:
" I need one so bad... What's a good but fairly cheap brand I should look into buying? "I think old Madcatz TE's are $100-110 on amazon and you dont have to mod them. Se's are around $50 but those do need to be modded with new parts because the stock parts are ass.
This one's caught my eye at $99. Anything I should know? How is it holding up, sf? I guess what I'm asking is if I'd be better off spending the extra $20 or $30 for a TE. I'd probably want to mod the buttons and art anyway, though."
Nothing special here. I hope to customize it one day, but seems the only help me thread I could find was for the TE stick. I'm no pro, so I ain't going to go around fiddling with this thing without proper direction... "
