Overview

Super Tennis (or Great Tennis as it was known in Japan) is a simple tennis simulation game where the goal is to beat the opponent in three sets. It is played simply by running to where the ball will land and hitting the swing button to return it. The game is a little more difficult than it perhaps ought to be, especially while serving as faults and double faults tend to be commonplace.

Like many of Sega's "Great" sports series, it superficially resembles Nintendo's early sports games enhanced by the Master System's graphical superiority. In this case, the NES game Tennis.
