Role in Uncharted 3
Talbot is a mysterious character. From the outside, he looks like a businessman, always wearing a black suit with a red tie. He speaks in a british accent and takes orders from Katherine Marlowe. It is revealed however that Talbot, much like Marlowe, is part of a top secret organisation similar to the Illuminatie. He wishes to find the Atlantis of the Sands and unleash a mystical power that could be used to rule the world. At the end of Uncharted 3, it is revealed that said power is a chemical which controls the mind.
The most disturbing thing about Talbot is that he seems to be invincible to bullets. During the game, he's shot multiple times but always comes out unscratched. For example, in Syria, he's shot by Cutter in the chest which naturally throws him off his feet. However, a couple minutes later, Talbot is walking around as though nothing happened. Talbot also has the nasty habit of disappearing, like a ghost. There are multiple explanations to his weird powers. Throughout the game, Talbot uses hallucinogenic darts containing the same chemicals that are found in the water supply in Iram. It is possible that at times, Talbot isn't even there despite the game showing him to the player. When Cutter shoots Talbot, he had previously been under the influence of the drug. The same thing happens when Nathan is under the influence of the drug. After a chase through city streets, Talbot throws a grenade full of unknown gas before disappearing. It is thus possible that in these situations, Talbot is but an illusion.Talbot is an expert in hand to hand combat as well as parkour. He also knows how to use a knife and a gun with surprising precision, dropping the knife into his free hand when the one wielding it gets blocked in order to get a quick slice of his opponents abdomen. Talbot is loyal to Marlowe, making her protection his top priority and giving her intel. However, he ultimately fails in his mission to rule the world with Marlowe. First, he fails at saving Marlowe's life who ends up drowning in quicksand. Then, he is shot in the face by Drake, which causes him to plummet to his death.
