Telltale Games didn't bluff when it announced plans to fully support the PS3 through PSN. After a successful launch of the third season of Sam & Max, the studio is launching its scrumptious Tales of Monkey Island series as a big, five-episode bundle on the platform this Tuesday, June 15 for $19.99.

This bundle will also go on sale for the PC and Macintosh for the same price as well, so if you haven't bothered yet, please do. This is an extraordinary price for a quirk-filled narrative featuring a brilliant cast of characters and solid logic-based puzzles.

If you're weird and don't like Monkey Island for some reason, there's probably not much chance you'll dig Sam & Max, either. All the same, the third episode of the third season is poised to go live on June 23. A special bundle for this one will be available at some point, for a limited time, at $24.99. The date of the special sale wasn't specified.

Telltale is currently working on episodic franchises based in the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future universes, which will launch on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Macintosh at some point this winter. Telltale's iPhone puzzler, the Puzzle Agent, is also slated for release in 2010.

That's a good price.  Gonna probably end up picking up the Sam and Max on the PS3, but I already have Monkey Island on the PC.  Brilliantly written stuff, and I'd go so far as to say Telltale's games are funnier than the originals.  Yeah, I said it.

That's a great price for anyone who hasn't already played them. They're fantastic games.

@conojo: Tales of Monkey Island originally came out for everything except the PS3. Now it's coming. The 360 already had it's share of love :P

Not exactly. XBLA got The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (which the PS3 just got a few weeks ago), and both are getting Monkey Island 2: Special Edition. Tales of Monkey Island is a different series which has not hit the 360 yet.
