Step into the darkness.
The darkness is an FPS created by the same studio that made The chronicles of riddick. And it just happens to be a great shooter with a fantastic story. In the game you play as jackie estacado, the game opens with jackie riding in the back of a car on his 21st birthday. From there, well... things get a little strange, Not only does jackie find out that his uncle is trying to kill him but he also becomes possesed by a demon. This demon will constantly talk to jackie and tell him to do "evil things". There are more then a few twists and turns throughout the game and by the end you will be filled with a sense of satisfaction. The game lasts around 15 hours or so, and the gameplay behind the story is great. Not only do you shoot a variety of guns but you will also get powers. The best powers in the game ( at least in my opinion) are the tentacles and darkness guns. But not every aspect of the gameplay is so great, the basic guns are weak and almost utterly useless later on in the game, minions are also pretty weak and don't provide much support. Luckily these are just minor bubs in the road and the story and overall gritty look of the game will help you get past these flaws. It's not for everyone but for those willing to stomach some intense violence and look past a few flaws will find a great mind bending game.
