i think im the only one who thinks so but the graphics here dont actually look THAT good. i mean it looks fine but it wasnt the groundbreaker oblivion was back in the day, and this especially doesnt look impressive with rage around. i was a fan of oblivion and the new fallouts and ill prolly enjoy this, but the whole graphics thing seems overhyped. looks better, sure, but not the best

Hopefully Dark Elves look more rugged this time round, I hated their overly effeminate high fantasy look in Oblivion.. But if Bethesda can make Khajiits look awesome I suppose I shouldnt be worrying too much..

And those shots are from the 360 version of Skyrim according to Brad's story. Can't wait to see the higher rez textures on PC.

Insane. Both of these games are coming out in the same era of consoles. Still don't think I will play a non human race though...

Been playing through Oblivion again, since it's been 3 years since I played it last. I've probably played 400+ hours of that game, and I gotta say most of the magic is gone for me. The suspension of disbelief I had when it was new and exciting is completely gone, and everything about it bugs me. The shitty AI, ugly character models, awkward animations, broken leveling system are all glaring problems to me now.

Good start.  Let's see the others.

Oblivion models were shockingly bad, even back in the day. It's nice to see they've realized that and made significant improvements.

Aww shit son!!

That's the first thing I've seen that made me tingle with excitement a little about Skyrim. Oblivion was a hideous looking game and starting it up any time and making a character was just depressing.

Bear in mind that by the mammoth is a giant which is confirmed to be 12 ft.
If I play as a bosmer I'm going to feel so small =(

I've always wanted to play as an Orc, but goddamn have they always been ugly in Morrowind and Oblivion...now they look savage enough for me.
