Basically, a Japanese forum known as 2ch apparently leaked details about the next game in the Zelda franchise. Already, knowing how secretive Nintendo is, counting on this to be 100% true would be foolish. However, according to what Zeldainformer mentioned, 2ch has done this before with plenty of games, and have been for the most part, well, right.
They leaked info on MGS4, RE4, Kingdom Hearts and other Square Enix games. Only mention of a Nintendo game there was The Wind Waker where, quote.
back in 2003, they also broke The Wind Waker's story roughly two months before release, and no, prerelease copies were apparently not out yet stateside.
Even though these are still rumors, info that cannot be confirmed to be true, you kinda have to give them credit for how much they've been able to find and were on the ball with. Already a small part in me is hoping for these details to be true, and that makes it hard to be reasonable with my expectations as of right now.
They bullet pointed the main details from 2ch's info. One set of details in particular deals with the speculation people were making when we saw that concept art last year.
•The girl in the art is not the Master Sword, and it appears the Master Sword will not be in the game.
•The girls name from the painting could possibly be Adelle, Adella, or Aderu.
•She is not with you throughout the game like Ezlo and Midna.
•The face in the painting of her is not her real face. It's not fully elaborated on much, but it does say that it was a place holder concept art piece.(assuming the entire art itself was just concept work)
•Link's sword is highly unique in this game, and will have several unlockable abilities. Adelle (or whatever her final name becomes) communicates with you through this sword.
So, she's NOT the master sword, she doesn't stick with you through the whole game like other supporting characters, her appearance is not exactly what we saw in the picture, and she communicates to you through Link's sword, that apparently has unlockable abilities.
In a way, we were sort of right about her being like Link's sword, figuratively. Though she's not actually the Master Sword, despite the similar details in her outfit.
You can read the rest of the details via the link. It does sound interesting, with some cool ideas if this is true, as well as still keeping some familiar elements, such as the consideration of a "Hero of Time" element.
