    Hey guys,

The system requirements say that what I have passes the minimal requirements, but I don't want to buy a game and not be able to run it decently. So do you think I could run this game with a good framerate and decently graphics?
    I have:
AMD Phenom II X4 905e Processor
and an ATI Radeon HD 4250

    Thanks.

Can you run it doesn't work on my computer, it just seems to get stuck on gathering information.

Just based on those two components, I have:
Intel Core 2 Extreme (Quad core @2.53GHz)
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M SLI

I think our processor spec is similar but I'm not quite sure about the video card, mine might be more powerful but I don't know for sure. I can barely run the game on Medium settings at 1920x1200 (can't be more than 30 fps, plus hiccups particularly when there's spell or fire effects). I hope that gives you some idea?

@newhaap: No, my understanding is that a GTX280 is way more powerful than a 4250. And I doubt your processors are very close either.

Offhand, I would have to say no, you can't run it.

Yeah, as sleazy as it sounds, it's probably your best bet. Torrent it, see how it runs, then buy it. I would say try the demo, but of course, there is no demo.

Check out my sick specs. I bought the core PC unit back in '99, but upgraded it in '03 with a Radeon 9800XT (256 megabytes!) a anthlon 1700 processor  and 512 megabytes of kick ass sdram along with a sick 200gb (gb as in gigabyte)  hard drive.  It is the illest machine for playing videogames and I'll never have to upgrade again.

Ps: Think I can play The Witcher 2 at Max ?

I have a better machine and I can't even run it on the lowest at 30+ fps. I hear it's an ATI thing.

I have a Radeon HD 5570 and Intel i5 quad 2.66 HZ barely running Witcher 2 on low settins with 1280 X 720 resolution. I don't think what you have has a chance >:

I'm not sure if it will run great but never trust system requirements lab. That site is shit when it comes to reliability.

Are you sure you have a HD 4250? I'm pretty sure that's an integrated card used in laptops. In any case, given it's an integrated card, it's no where near capable enough to run The Witcher 2 at any respectable frame rate.

Well, I can run it a decent framerate on my laptop with 2 Ghz AMD Phenom processor, 6GB Ram and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650. The advanced options give you a lot of leeway, mine is customized to a little less than the medium preset. Graphically it looks good, it's just the facial hair that looks a bit weird and I turned off all the blur and DoF stuff so it looks a bit stripped, but even then it looks pretty good. Considering I played The Witcher 1 just before it, it looks awesome.

    i think it is..

    Intel® Core i5 processor 650 3.20 GHz
    6144MB RAM
    1TB HDD 16x DVD writer
1GB ATI Radeon HD 5450 dedicated graphics card

and i can barely get it running on medium settings.. im wondering if my 9600 1gig from my old pc can make the game play better..

Yeah, like many others, I have a pretty nice system. It can run Crysis 2 pretty damn well, yet chugs and chugs like hell with the Witcher 2.

The Witcher 2 is poorly optimized. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but the graphics engine isn't efficient. Even high-end systems have trouble running the game properly, even though Witcher 2 isn't really anything special from a graphics standpoint - sure it looks very nice, but so do other games and my system can run them just fine. Hopefully a few patches later, the game will run a little smoother.

If your PC can't even run System Requirements Lab without hanging up...then I think it's time for an upgrade.

I have the same GPU, and, seeing as it can hardly run Amnesia, I'm gunna say that this game will run terribly.

It isn't running great on my Asus.
      CPU: i7 740QM quad 1.73Ghz 6mb
    RAM: 8GB DDR3
    Video: Nvidia GTX 460M 1.5GB
I know it is a pretty game but I can't help feeling it should run better. It isn't really playable on anything other than medium at 1920x1080.
