I keep running into the problem in which females will follow you whether you want them to or not. I didn't notice one was there, I went to hunt and this desperate started following me and she wont leave! I ranked up to boss for nothing. Anyone have a solution?

I haven't found how to stop them following you, but you should definitely look at your map and keep your eyes peeled for the hearts. Then when you're near them see if they're desperate or not. If they are, try to hug a side and stay as far away as possible. You might be able to let other predators kill her too, but I haven't tried that
