    Anybody see this coming? Or was it a big as shock to you as it was for me? 


    Either way, that demo looked incredibly sharp, and the story looks promising.

    @Player1: Conviction has always been a 360 exclusive. Either way I'm super pumped over the new direction, it looks like everything the Bourne game wasn't and I've always been a huge Splinter Cell fan. One of the few exclusive 360 games I actually care about.

    @RsistncE: Really? I had never heard that. Sorry. The guys (jeff and ryan) on that mini bombcast this morning didn't even see it coming. They were surprised to see the banners said 360 exclusive, and thought it may even be a mistake.

    I think it's a Microsoft exclusive, so it will come out on the PC but probably linked to GFW.

    Yeah OK, Ubisoft's Q3 earning (which is from January 2009) says Conviction is STILL a 360 exclusive, so that means it was announced as an exclusive before as I thought.

    @Player1: Oh, I think it looks great. It has a very cinematic look to it and it means more in-game storytelling which is always a good thing. More immersion if you will.

    :P Thanks for the info. Your right. Jeff and Ryan need to stop their game up! I think the endurance runs are messing with Jeffs brain.

    Yes. Immersion seems to be the right word for it. The story looks so compelling. Not to mention those graphics. Whoo.

    As far as i remember weren't the older Splinter Cell games also (timed) Xbox or Xbox 360 exclusives? but yet they still saw life on PS2, PS3 and the PC.

    Well I loved what I saw, the bit in the bathroom at the beginning looked like a cutscene.
    I love how the objectives are projected onto the surroundings. Sort of like how Fisher used to have the green lights, but they were not really there.

    Never really played, splinter cell but from looks of it, it looks pretty sweet. I hope we get a demo on XBL.

    Hopefully, the demo is release soon and the gameplay trailer was quite impressive.

    I like how vengeful Sam Fisher has become too, and the opening scene was something brutal.

    How was this a shock to anyone? All except the first Splinter Cell game were on the Xbox only I thought already...and if I thought wrong, I still figured Conviction was only gonna be on the 360.

    Considering Ubi always called it 360 exclusive, and even went as far as saying "PS3 cant handle TEH AI'S!!!!" I was kind of surprised to see it as an exclusive .... NOT.

    I still dont dig Spliter Cell. Have played through the past ones and have never been captivated by them. I do like some of the things presented in them, but I always considered it the poor mans Metal Gear. Why? Maybe because of the linear structure of the game. Though it makes me wonder, Splinter Cell has always been scored nicely, why Velvet Assassin, a game that does it in the same fashion (its a copy paste) fails everywhere?

    Anyway, Conviction seems to fix some of my previous issues, so if it is ever released on PC (the only way to play an SC game) then I will give it a shot.

    I dont care if it's exclusive, the gameplay they showed was FUCKING awesome. I really like the direction they are going with the franchise. Something with the goverment and such. Can't wait for this game!

    tthis game looks sick man. 

    I love how cinematic it was. Very clever story telling, I'm surprised its never been done like this before. Its definitely something you will see copied in the future.

    It was always exclusive, but I don't really care if it ended up on the PS3 or not....the game looked absolutely amazing and was one of the biggest shocks of the MS press conference. I'm really looking forward to this game now and I'm actually surprised that it's coming out this year. I'm very glad that they demoed the game because I hated the pre-E3 teaser trailer and didn't really like the trailer they showed on stage, but that demo was awesome!

    SC's  always been 360 exclusive I thought...a forgone conclusion to me.  Anyway, I might actually be able to play  this shit now.  It looks so much more action oriented, and far less stealthy.  The RB6esque target lock biz looks very cool to me.  New genre: staction?,lol.
