The tenth game in the Tony Hawk series, RIDE featured the use of a newly conceived skateboard peripheral in an attempt, by Activision, to reboot the series.
The tony hawk franchise use to be the number one skateboarding franchise of all time but since EA`s skate series came along it seems like every entry in the tony hawk franchise is a step backward. It seems like time has caught up with tony because tony hawk ride is awful and in turn is a step backward for the franchise.
OOOOOH AHHHHHHHH
The main attraction to tony hawk ride is the skate board controller. This is how the game is played and you can`t use anything else. The controller consists of 4 senors and a ton of buttons most of which don`t actually do anything. Unfortunately the board fails on all fronts. The board quite simply dose not work plain and simple. It never actually dose the tricks you want it to do and steering is complete garbage and trust me WILL fall off at least once.
Now on to the game itself which surprisingly is also complete garbage. its not really this fun. The game consists of a few different levels that flat , bland , and boring. The levels have you riding through them doing different tasks in order to unlock new levels were you go and do the same thing over and over again. The graphics of the game are also flat and boring but it can get a little cool when it slows down to show you insane tricks that you while you are on fire. Unfortunately the game is advertised to hell with extremely long load times brought to you by stride. Hell even the achievements are advertised it nuts.
In the end don`t play tony hawk ride it dose not work and for 120 dollars it a giant rip off for a broken controller and a game that can be completed in 3 hours yea 3 hours. As a matter of fact come to think of it maybe activision should stop trying to fix a franchise that there was nothing wrong with in the first place.

Robomodo was selected to develop this addition to the Tony Hawk's Franchise for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It's very strange not seeing the Neversoft name attached to a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game.
