Seriously, I had a pet Troll.

I'm ready for some Diablo-ass Diablo game playing, are you?

Man, this has been long overdue, but I don't even give a shit. This game is fucking great.

    Alchemist

    Destroyer

    Vanquisher

Remember when there was only like two or three classes you could choose between in your dungeon crawlers? Not like your WoW's or your Free Realms, or whatthefuckever, you had three classes. Mage, Warrior, and Rogue basically. Some dude with magicks, dude with big-ass sword, and lady with arrows. Well, parts of your nostalgia is worth the years without. Torchlight brings it all back to the roots.

You are one of those classes along with your pet; a wolf, bob cat, or a salamander...thing which I turned into a troll once I purchased the game again, and you are needed to help this one town, Torchlight. The town has been compromised with this evil ore that is seeping through to the base of the town, and you have to stop it. It turns out that an evil wizard is out to get this ore and use it to take over the world! You go deeper and deeper into the cave, as per the levels, from actual cave/mine to Dwarven camps and Deamon Portals. I can't and won't go into detail for the story is the main selling point of the game, but if this tickles your fancy, HAVE AT IT!

Lookit! Lady shooting stuffs! With GUNS even!

Your pet can have items that buff, and also use abilities as it attacks enemies. You can also send it back to town to sell all the unwanted items to help clear out your inventory.

So, Diablo, on the PC, you left clicked, A LOT. You could have held it down, but thats for squares. You needed to be able to feel the hits of your actions on your enemies and replace your mouse every two weeks. And now, on the current gen consoles you can use the "X" button. "A" selects/confirms and "B" cancels on menus, the other face buttons and triggers do your abilities. The triggers are mapped to your Health and Mana, LB and RB respectively. Simple. Clean. Action RPG. I really can't say anything else...Loot heavy. Randomized loot. Color coated loot. Experience bar. Leveling. Grinding. Return to town portals. Fetch Quests. You fill in the map as you progress. Every inch of this game screams my name, and I "squeeeee'd" as I played the shit out of it.

Your abilities come stock per character, but you shell out up to ten points to level up and be more powerful. More mana per use, bigger effects, and more skeletons if you so wish. Its just purely streamlined for us consolers who aren't used to complicated looking menus. It is really good looking, and I can't find anything to harp about it.

    Also, you can fish.

I love the loot, and as such since I can't say anything else about this type of game, here is the complete armor sets for the three classes.

I loved this game, so much. I couldn't put it down, and as I'm typing this up months later, I want to play it again. I give this fantastic game 5 Grand Health Potions out of 5.

As a throw away, use this steampunk robot wallpaper if you want.

Repetition has never been so fun 0

If you are longing for the days past of killing mindless hordes of enemies in your bedroom at 2:00 am then Torchlight is here to scratch your itch. This is by no means a ground breaking game, focusing primarily on the tried and true mechanics of the dungeon crawlers of yesteryear. The beauty of Torchlight is in its simplicity and focus. The game does not throw complex enemies at you and it does not try to over burden you with strategy. What it does instead is give you a bounty of loot to sort th...
