    Created by Hank Pym (or in the movies Tony Stark and Bruce Banner), to be a peacekeeper, Ultron quickly grew disdainful of humanity and other organic life and decided to exterminate them rather than aid them. From that day on, the murderous machine has been a persistent foe of the Avengers and the Marvel Universe at large, raking up significant bodycounts on Earth and beyond and generally being one of the most powerful supervillains the heroes of Marvel have ever tangled with.
