Hey guys, I'm planning on buying the first Uncharted (rented it and beat it but was too pricy for a buy) and was wondering if they ever fixed the issue where uncharted would lock up. I know they made a new firmware update (3.01) but I'm not sure if that ever completely solved the problem. Is it safe to download, or shall I have my PS3 remain in firmware 2.8 or whatever it's at. Note: I'm making this topic in the Uncharted 2 forum because the Uncharted 1 forum is pretty much dead.

3.01 was mostly dedicated to fix the Uncharted problem. I think you'll be fine. Im also planning on playing the first game before i buy the second.

same here.   the game should be running good with 3.01 - go for it.  "

I actually bought and played through the first game last weekend in preparation for the second. The game ran fine, and only had one issue where the game locked up, and that was while I was playing. It only did that once though, so it was not a huge issue. "

I played through it a few months ago, no idea what update but it run perfectly, the game was awesome cant wait for uncharted 2.

I just finished uncharted recently, considering I shelved the game years ago playing though half way and now to see the ending for the next game. It's working perfect, no glitches or anything right now with the newest firmware update because that's exactly what I used. Just reconfirming that it works.
