fun, yet sloppy
uncharted 3 is still a fun game but it hits too many of the same beats from the last game,
worse yet the story feels a bit sloppy this time around and the action bits felt kinda thrown together,
I am getting tired of how these games hold your hand the whole way through for example, when solving puzzles
you can pull up drake,s trusty journal anytime doing so pretty much spells it all out for you ( think of it as an ingame
strategy guide) however your buddy Sully, still insist on telling you exactly what to do if you waste more than a minute
to figure things out for yourself, all of this hand holding robs you of any satisfaction and makes many puzzles feel like padding.
the shooting sections are a lot more gratifying and hand to hand combat feels a bit more meaty, plus there are some new tricks like pulling the pin out of an enemy,s grenade while its still latched on( warning not always a smart move)
however it can be grating during a shoot out when an enemy absorbs a seemingly endless supply of bullets and your all out of Amo suddenly as you run out of cover to pick up more someone slams you with a rocket this can lead to some anoying trial and error. the controls can also be a bit finicky during such tense riots.
the graphics are a joy as always and the story though sadly generic had more potential this time around
I say rent it,
