3DS Footage Kind Of In 3D!

OH GOD I am watching without glasses.

Okay, so the problem with anaglyph 3D is that the quality of the 3D effect depends entirely on whether your glasses match the filter used to make the movie. It works quite well for me when I combine two different anaglyph glasses. My left eye gets the red lens from red/green glasses and my right eye gets both the green lens from the same and the cyan lens from magenta/cyan glasses. They're all just flimsy pieces of plastic that don't filter particularly well, but by stacking the right pieces of plastic, the 3D effect becomes quite clear.  
 
The thing is, there are a million different kinds of anaglyph glasses and the only ones that really work well are red/green and red/blue with monochrome imagery. All the various combinations that were designed for coloured 3D require very precisely tuned filters to be applied to the video and only work with high quality glasses. Most people just have flimsy paper&plastic glasses which bleed like crazy even when they're supposed to work. Monochrome video might sound ancient, but I hear it's all the rage in games these days and if it can show the 3D effect well (with almost any kind of paper 3D glasses) I think that's potentially more interesting that color.

I just ordered a few different pairs of plastic red/blue glasses from Amazon, even if Giantbomb doesn't keep doing 3D quicklooks, I'm sure they'll come in handy for other things... maybe.

I commend them for trying but I really hope they don't do alot of videos in 3D.

... Not working so much.

I used my official Sly Cooper 3 red/blue 3D glasses and it didn't work so well. Had a few instances of enhanced depth but I think the alignment was off on the red and blue images or something. 

Well, the Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY glasses did not help at all. But I did learn I don't care about 3D!

I'm not kidding when I say I've got a pair of 3D glasses on my desk, ever ready for situations like this.
 
EDIT: For the record, it worked pretty well for me, too. Certainly not the worst implementation of this style of 3D.

It doesn't seam to work all to well as the colour alignment is off a tad.

I used cinema style 3d glasses because I don't actually have red/blue. Cinema glasses do not work.

It did indeed kinda work.

Man, I have a legit plastic pair of red/blue glasses I bought to play Left 4 Dead (and secretly, Rad Racer) in 3D, which worked, but this sure didn't! Maybe I have "red/cyan" lens or something lame, because the red filtered correctly but with the blue lens I was definitely seeing double.

Monkey Balls make me wince

3D doesn't work at all, no matter how it's presented. I have lazy eye. So even if this weren't a joke, I wouldn't be able to watch it. 
 
One time on a school trip we went to see a documentary on whales in iMax 3D, and I had to suffer through the whole thing. It fucking sucked, because I could actually watch the movie better with the glasses off, because seing 2 (out of 5) fairly clear images was better than seeing 1 extremely blurry image. 
 
Also, I haven't even pressed play, but just the still has fucked up my eyes. You should probably change the still image to be something that isn't dangerous to people's vision.

I guess I have to buy a copy of Jackass 3D to get a pair of those friggin' glasses so I can watch this.
