Dude, I'm a mediocre player (and by that I mean that I get stomped any time I try to play online) and I still get what those balance changes mean. You really don't have to be THAT into fighting games to get what they're talking about.

Anyways, these balance changes are pretty cool. Liking the Hakan, Fei Long, and Evil Ryu additions.

Too bad 3rd Strike died once again. Derek Neal shot it like a dog unless Capcom goes Hydrophobia Pure with a major update. And I have played lots of 3S before and after Online Edition.

As a Yuri player, comboing into that Ultra looks pretty exciting, because it seems easy to pull off and I'm not all that great. Maybe I'll play this some more when this patch is out. Bought the AE update for SSF4 but only played it like twice. Don't care for Yun/Yang or the evil dudes at all.

Just glad my Boxer headbutt damage is back after it got changed in Super. In some ways both happy and sad that there isn't much relearning for Boxer, might be a good time to work on my alt

Even thought I don't care much for this game, I must say, this trailer is fantastic. That bit in the end had me cracking up too.

They should have just said "Got hit with the nerf bat hard" when it came to Yun and Yang in that video. Even with my fairly limited knowledge, those guys have been neutered significantly.

I think you'll find it's an EX Focus Attack Dash Cancel into Ultra, Perry. Blatant mistake on your part there. For shame.

Seriously, the games a lot of fun for those people way into the timing stuff, but as for the rest of us this is just more stuff that just makes the game even more impenetrable. SF4 had so much potential to bring the fighting game franchise back in a way that made it accessible to a broader audience but they chose to go after the Pro crowd, and I can't fault them for that. I just wish Capcom Fighting games weren't becoming so impenetrable.

I remember Stephen Totilo complaining about a lot of weird nerfing and horrible balance issues in Arcade Edition so maybe they're fixing those?

Also, all the new characters just look bad, so I haven't wanted to upgrade. No reason to. Still haven't figured out the majority of the characters or how to play the game well.

SFIV is impenetrable to you?! wow, then fighting games just aren't on your thing then. At a low level the game is accessible as hell.

@Fracture: Capcoms new fighting games are really easy to get into compared to their old ones. They still have a steep learning curve compared to most mainstream games, but that's just how competitive games work.

Hooray! Capcom has successfully made Street Fighter irrelevant once again! Just like when Street Fighter 3 came out! The series has come full circle...again.

I look forward to the reboot that Street Fighter V will inevitably have to be to get people back onboard. Then the 3 versions of SFV afterward that cater exclusively to the hardcore fans, and add in content that should've been in there in the first place!

Glad to see Capcom learns things!
