I really enjoyed this game even more so than Fallout 3. So this is great news for me since I want to play this on my PC and now I can get it with most of the DLC.

Maybe I got lucky, but I encountered far fewer bugs in New Vegas than Fallout 3. I mean, there were still a shitload of bugs, but it was not as bad as 3. Ergo I had more fun with New Vegas than 3.

I didn't like the New Vegas DLC as much as the Fallout 3 DLC but at least I didn't pay full price for any of the New Vegas DLC.

New Vegas > Fallout 3.

I already own all of the DLC, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Awesome news. Too bad Bethesda games don't come out on Steam in Russia. Fuck you 1C for trying to curb the spread of digital distribution. I hope that deal was worth it, Bethesda.

Bought the game on launch; recently bought all the (important) DLC. Only put 20 hours in. The money I could have not spent had I waited for this.

At this point, I think I'm more likely to buy Oblivion for the 360 & play that for the first time in ages than I am to get New Vegas. But we'll see. Maybe when the Ultimate Edition (glad to see they aren't trying to pass New Vegas off as GOTY edition) is a lot cheaper, a year or 2.

Fallout New Vegas...I liked it, and the mods have come through to make the PC version more atmospheric, more vibrant, and more complete (with new radio stations and such), even more than what the DLCs could hope to accomplish, which have been available for pittance on certain Steam sales events. The gamebryo stiffness and bugs are still there, but for what it's worth, time to time I trek across the Mohave and pop off cazadores with anti-material rifle san-VATS, with ED-E in tow, Obsidian's finest hour.

For the $50 that it is listed for on Gamestops website, it is not even close to being worth the money. Like others have said... this game is pretty glitchy, plus I am not super compelled by DLC really other than having the complete game patched and in a complete package... I want to play this game, but not for anything over like $20 or $30 at most.

@Oldirtybearon: I think the issue that most people are taking with your posts is the matter-of-fact tone you've got going on there.

The reality is that there are a hell of a lot of people who like New Vegas (myself included), and just because YOU don't like the game, it doesn't mean that anyone's "robbing" people of money.

For thousands of people, this is going to be a very solid and worth-while purchase!

No it's really not. New Vegas is not a great game. The DLC deserves applause for trying to tell a structured story over the course of multiple episodes, but it failed to be fun or improve on the faults found in the vanilla game. I just don't believe that Obsidian should rob more people of their money. The way it launched and the consumer support vis a vis patching was atrocious. They don't deserve your money, nor mine.

My opinion is right and your opinion is wrong!

This is absolutely worth it to anyone who is even tangentially interested in the game. While some of the DLC isn't awesome (Dead Money's gameplay is a little lacking and frustrating if you aren't heavily specced in melee weapons and sneak), the writing is phenomenal.

How about you let people decide for themselves how they want to spend their money?

first off, it's one guy's opinion, and he's not making the decision on behalf of everyone else. we'll decide whether his opinion was informative or not, not you.

@studnoth1n: If he just left it at he didn't like the game fine. The fact that he says that Obsidian is robbing people of their money is what irks me. I don't think buying the Whiskey Media membership is worth it. Others do. I don't condescend people when they buy things that I wouldn't though. Imagine if he came up to you and went on that exact same diatribe in a store while you were looking at a game. I would be fucking annoyed. Who wouldn't?

@Oldirtybearon: I've had many, many fewer glitches in New Vegas than I am currently having in Skyrim. Sure, if feels like Fallout 3, but if you haven't played F3, New Vegas is a fantastic game.

And as far as the DLC's failure to outshine the existing game, vanilla Fallout 3 was in nearly everyone's opinion better than its DLC. And I'm just fine with that, no matter the game.

I would rather see the next New episode of Fallout using the Skyrim engine. It's gonna be sick!!!

And for those complaining about glitches, man up and get a PC.

I preordered this game (without dlc version) and was enjoying it until about 3 hours in when I hit a glitch that made the game freeze when I hit the V.A.T.S button (RB?).... Now that I think back I could have gotten a refund but I just traded it in and waited for the Ultimate all DLC up in it version. It's here now so I'm willing to give it another go, I played the shit out of 3 so i doubt I'll hate it.

Forgot to add... Yes I did start over and try another console but I managed to get the same bug again.

Fallout 3 is my favourite game of this generation. New Vegas was merely a 'decent game'. It didn't measure up.

Might buy this and give a second chance though.

The DLC in this game was very good and I had funw ith them, didn't really bother with Dead Money though. Justw asn't a fan of the tone in that one.

But Old World Blues has some of the best writing in that game, and legit funny characters in it. and this is great becuase you can use all that cool end DLC loot in the main game.

So BUY IT!

Fallout New Vegas was a very fun game and was worth the $50 I shelled out for it. Never tried the DLC none of it seemed really interesting. I'd prefer one large dlc than a few small ones.

@Oldirtybearon: You literally told him not to buy it. How are you saying you're not? "You don't know any better, this corporate lingo is too confusing for you. Here, let me tell you the real story. Shhhh, it's going to be alright." This isn't a Mom at a Gamestop, it's guy on a video game website. I think he knows what he wants.

It's clear you're either too proud to back down or too stupid to think you're being an idiot. So I'm done.

How about you let people decide for themselves how they want to spend their money?

I'll keep that in mind the next time I see someone about to fall into a bear trap because they don't know any better.

Swell advice.

I didn't mean to offend, my lord, I was unaware of your financial acumen. Please, tell me how to spend my money, this world is so scary and complicated.

New Vegas is a perfectly serviceable game. If you don't like it, cool, but if people want to buy it, suck it up and leave them alone. They don't know any better? You make it sound like they're some 10 year old with a weeks allowance at a candy store at dinner time.

It's funny that you act like I'm actively hounding users and telling them what to and what not to buy. I'm not. I made a comment expressing my opinion that New Vegas is not worth your money in any shape or form. When asked to defend my stance, I explained myself. I fail to see where I was pushing other people.

Also, "don't know any better" is not a judgment of one's faculties. It's a simple statement. Have you ever seen a mother in a gamestop or electronics store look deer-eyed when they get bombarded with bullshit terminology and corporate-approved buzzwords? They're designed specifically to confuse consumers who don't know any better.

That's what I was referring to with my bear trap comment.
