I couldn't tell if the developer had flirtatious disposition or if she was just genuinely into Brad.

I believe that she is totally hyping the wrong stuff. BioShock wasn't about the action – it was about the atmosphere. And if the sequel doesn't deliver in that aspect, I really couldn't care less about the rest.

I'm still not sold on this yet, I haven't seen anything that's made this game standout from the original. I get the feeling this is going to be a pretty mediocre effort.

Same here. When I start a second play through to go the evil route I lost interest pretty fast. However a sequel is going to introduce new areas and stuff so it might feel fresh again, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Despite my continued skepticism over this game my expectations have been increased by this interview. I think this video actually sold the multiplayer to me better than any of the official trailers, although I'm still a little unsure of it. I'm also very glad that they do have a proper villain for this game. I think when 2K started flaunting the Big Sister so early on, certain things were unclear and it seemed to everyone as though the Big Sister was the villain of the new game. This seemed like just about the most uncreative thing 2K could have done and seemed an even bigger letdown as the villain in this game will be the successor to the brilliant Andrew Ryan. With a villain who is basically the exact opposite of Ryan it gives 2K an opportunity to explore an entirely different character and look at the pros and cons of a new style of philosophy and politics.

Can we leave the lady alone? Like she seems pretty nervous, and she should. We are watching this, her boss is watching this, her family may also be watching this. Her job is and career are effected by this interview. So before going posting about her weird laugh (0:14), lets cut her some slack.

The multiplayer looks pretty good in action, much better than how that first trailer depicted it.

This hasn't been considered a must-buy for me for a while, but I'm thinking about it.

Also also, I found the sexual tension and the weird laugh at 00:18 entertaining.

I'm a quite sciptical I think this game has potential but what they've shown just expands the gameplay which wasnt one of the best aspects of Bioshock. If they put half as much effort into the narrative and atmosphere as they did with all these new features i think the game could turn out pretty well.

I hold this in the same regard as Assassins Creed 2 as it's the same story, all the changes they've made while cool from a gameplay perspective kind of diminish the atmosphere and immersion which were the best parts of both games. Without that they could end up feeling quite generic but we'll see.

The first game was good, and this one is a little iffy. It seems like there milking the first game. Well I am not against multiplayer, I think they have been focusing to much on it. I would like to see more replay value in the single player of the sequel.

Also, that chick was freaky, widest eyes I have ever seen, damn brad...

Multiplayer is really looking sharp. I feel like it's going to be either super hit or horrible miss. Can't wait to get my hands on it... And I'm typically more of a single player type of gamer.

The first game was great.  It was exciting, mysterious, original, and felt like something new.  I think that's why a portion of us, gamers that is, aren't really interested in a sequel.   Personally, I really don't care about Bioshock 2.  The story in the first game came to a nice, satisfying conclusion.  Why can't we just leave it that way?  Of course, I understand that companies like money and can take less of a risk with a sequel, but the risk is what made the first game so interesting.  I'm sure the game won't be bad, but I think I'll keep my Bioshock experience unspoiled and skip the sequel.

  1. So first there was only one big sister now there are many?
  2. She needs to shut the hell up on the fact that BioShock 2 has MP. I just get a little bit more deterred when I hear that. This game will NEVER live up to it's big brother much in the same way as Bioshock can never live up to System Shock 2.
