Poor Bioware losing all autonomy and free will.

One of the funnest RTS games ever. I have faith that this new Bioware studio does the Generals franchise some justice. From what I've read, they definitely have the right idea. I think this is now my most anticipated game, cause god damn i loved the first ones.

This is being made by BioWare Victory, not BioWare Edmonton.

Well I'm not playing this then. It's a shame I used to love C&C.

Yeah EA really made this confusing. BioWare Vicotry is really just Victory games but re-branded as BioWare. This is one of the reasons i have more faith in this game coming out good. Victory games people do know how to make an RTS game, even tough their more recent releases weren't very good. But i think that the weight this name carries (Generals) is a motivator to make a good RTS game that does justice to the original Generals.

Still yet to play one as good as RA2

I loved all the command and conquer games (CnC4 and Ra3 dont count), so if they can get back to what made those games great, then I'm well and truly sold.

The thought process behind this game probably went like this

"Good job everybody, we've ruined the Tiberium scenario as well as the Red Alert scenario, well done. Soo, what next?"

I wonder how long it will be before EA capitalizes on the Bioware name even further... perhaps licensing it out to other companies.

I am incredibly stoked for this. My friend and I have sunk countless hours into generals multiplayer. All I have to say is...We build for China!

No one seems to have noticed that they flashed the Frosbite 2 engine up there. The engine that brought you Battlefield 3 is going to be running this game.

That engine on an RTS will be pretty dam sex on legs.

True, directx 11 will work wonders for large scale RTS gameplay (able to draw more copies of the same objects quicker i.e. tanks).

destruction 2.0, when viewed in first person, looks amazing. But I kinda doubt it would do the same when it comes to isometric pov.

I mean, we've saw buildings, walls, fences crumble and fall in RTS a lot to a point it probably wouldn't sound and look appealing anymore...

seems like overkill if you ask me. That type of graphic fidelity on a game that is arguably in c&c in name only doesn't seem to have a justifiable existence.

Looking forward to this. Generals is my favourite RTS of all time. Let's hope EA don't let Bioware fuck it up. Let's hope Bioware don't let EA let them fuck it up.

To me, 'ruining' Generals is as absurd as the idea of Skylanders 'ruining' Spyro. Like, really? Generals was a competent and fun little game that people would have forgotten by now if it wasn't for the Command & Conquer name. If this trailer was for Act of War: Direct Action 2, there wouldn't be anywhere near this level of bitching.

This isn't BioWare, it's a new EA studio formerly called Victory Games, branded BioWare Victory. BioWare is basically now EA's label for anything that they don't want to be damaged by EA's own tarnished image. Basically, it's a cheap attempt to build hype and brand recognition. BioWare are now officially EA's bitches through and through.

Let the grossly mismanaging of the Bioware brand name by EA begin!

I liked Generals. I just hope it is a better game than CNC 4.
