I kind of liked the artwork. I really do not understand those boobs. They look sexy for a nanosecond, then they come off as a physical deformity. I'm not even talking about real sexism and such, those would demand a lot of trips to the doctor.. They look like they would always hurt and cause all sorts of problems. Half the size would be large.

But the rest wasn't bad, not that I would play this game.

Also I am mega hyped for this game because Odin Sphere and Muramasa were awesome.

I continue to not be able to tell whether this game looks cool or not.

I keep waiting for an announcement to come out saying "Surprise! We sure fooled you guys with the fake, insane-looking versions of those characters we put in all the trailers to drum up publicity! Now here are the real sprites that don't look like Rob Liefeld drew them."

Not saying this to further the argument, but even taking into consideration the fact that the art style is exaggerated, there are some women that are closer than the ones listed above to the sorceress' frame. They are rare, but they exist (ex: Ewa Sonnet).

Also, this is the same art as in Odin Sphere on the PS2 and I thought that game looked amazing. And you know what ? I have no problem with great looking games !

None of your examples come even close to the sorceress in the game. Please put them next to eachother and you'll see.

This is the part where I say that i've seen many, many occasions of male characters in games with fucking insane abs and open shirts (for instance most fighting game characters), and i'm fine with it because that's the art style they chose and whatever I care more about the actual game.

Then this is the part where somebody says that's power fantasy, not sexual objectification.

Then I get confused by how vastly exaggerating traditionally male body structure is any different from vastly exaggerating female body structure.

I don't understand this. Why demonize the brawler genre, and how do you qualify that the game isn't worth its selling price?

I'm not sure what's more unappealing, the art style or the fact that someone is trying to sell a $50 beat 'em up.

Man, the character designs in this game are borderline nasty and enough to turn me off from playing it. In fact, I'd feel embarrassed to play this game in front of anyone. Having said that,the gameplay does look good, though. The developers should have had enough confidence in the mechanics to sell it, rather than resort to extreme sex anatomy. It only cheapens the final product and makes everything feel goofy and stupid.

I appreciate that the art style is an animated try at the kind of work Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo did for pulp fantasy.

Mainly interested because its a brawler and looks to be a rather large one.

Vanillaware quite often surprises with their game systems as well, so I'll definitely be trying this one. The sword-break mechanic in Muramasa, the in-battle agriculture mechanic of Odin Sphere, and just plain doing a 2d RTS in GrimGrimoire are all things that I want to recommend to everyone getting into RPGs.

I was hoping someone would bite. First of all, I'm just going to list off a few names. You can look them up if you want, or bypass them completely. Some of these ladies are in the adult industry, so if you live with your folks and have to keep an eye over your shoulder, be warned.

I have more if you want them. These cases in point have 100% natural boobs, and the ladies themselves are not fat. Now, for the physics. I feel I need only post this:

A few things to keep in mind:

a) The cases above are bigger than the woman shown here (though this one's size is very respectable).

b) This is happening with her just walking, she's not fighting, jumping around, or violently swinging a wand to cast spells or hit enemies.

c) This is what's happening with her when she has support.

So in that same video, what if they were even bigger, she were running or doing something with great exertion, and she wasn't wearing a bra? The results would be extremely bouncy. Don't get me wrong, I've seen the DC Sorceress' idle animation, and she gets jiggle simply from standing and breathing, so the physics are exaggerated, but I feel with this shown, maybe not by as much as we'd like to think.

With all this out of the way, when it comes to boobs, I feel we cannot say "Oh those are so unrealistic, no woman has those!". If you want to say "Hey, I hate it when video games depict the ultimately attractive female with extremely large breasts, other women not well endowed must look at it and feel inadequate because they know men long for such a thing they'll never be able to attain by themselves", then that's a separate issue entirely.

I think it's disgusting and unspeakable that this company thought it was "okay" to steal the brain of a thirteen year old boy and transplant it into an adult human body, and then allow it to direct the creative development of a game. Infuriating, and such a deplorable waste of everyone involved in this hideous thing.

For the first 20 seconds of that trailer I was thinking 'wow Rayman Legends has gone in a totally different direction then I initially expected'.

The breast doesn't really offend me at all, I think that has more to with the heavy sexualization of the body part in our society, forcing women to cover them as much as possible, and occasionally prevent them from breast feeding in public as not to offend someone's new-puritanical sensibility. God forbid allowing a toddler to eat when hungry. Not to mention the censorship of companies like Apple, just because they get a boner every time see anything resembling a breast, ergo it must be porn.

What does offend is the fact that every female basically have the same face. I mean when every male character got a distinct facial features, why does every female have the heart shaped face of 14 year old girl. It seems George Kamitani's artistic skills are severely lacking in that department. It sad because he is obviously an amazing artist, and find it hard to think of any other game with art that can even compare to some the stuff he does.

Obviously he is far from the only culprit in the industry (and certainly not isolated to the media of games) as apparently it is almost forbidden to be a female with a less than beautiful face.

Focusing on the breasts is silly.

The character design of this game looks dumb not to mention that boobs have idle animations. Garbage!

Still finding it real dumb that apparently all discussion about this game automatically has to gravitate towards the design of one character, as opposed to the actual majority of the content of the game, or, the GAMEPLAY. It's alright to dislike a game and all, but there's a lot more to criticize than a single character. I get it, she has giant breasts and horrible anatomy. But is the game (or since it's not out yet, the ideas behind it) fun?
