Dragon's Crown Casts a Spell on PS3 and Vita Next Week

I'm really bummed that this isn't a cross-buy game.

Disgusting and unnatural.
Really hate sexed up female characters.

Looks like a great game, but it's hard to ignore those flying around whenever she moves.
Game is made for horny teenagers or something, it's pathetic.

Regardless of how good this game may or may not be, I just cannot play it because of the art style. It weirds me out and is not something that I want to support. Creepy.

I think given that she has to develop really strong back muscles to hold those objects up, her back should be fine.

I'll wait for this to show up on PS+ in about 6 months.

I don't know if people have mentioned this before but there actually exists a subset of character aesthetics in erotic manga that matches this. Of course ordinarily women are well endowed in erotic manga, but just like how small breasted is a specified subgenre style, so is the super exaggerated. I would link an example but well...you know how that would go. Depending on the character there are actually three references being made in this game, between that super exaggerated style, a normally but still exaggerated style, and a Baroque aesthetic that also crops up frequently.

Interpret that how you will that they straight up put an erotic/porn art style into this game but hey, that's one aspect I don't know if people brought up that much.

The stiff way these characters move is probably worse than the art design in the first place.

Odin Sphere is $5 on PSN and I've been enjoying it so far, and it shows how the art styles in vanillaware games just continues to become more over the top. I love it in Odin's Sphere, not a fan of it in this one, and can't wait to see what these characters will look like 10 years from now.

Those boobs are the only thing holding my interest in this.

The art is nice and everything but I've never liked how much of its animation is just bending the picture. Muramasa and Odin Sphere did the same thing. I get why they do it, too save money, time and memory, I just don't think it looks good.

This game doesn't support my political ideology.

This game is definitely not for me, and that's not only because I don't care for beat'em-ups. Over the top or not, intentionally parodical or completely serious, I find the art style in this game extremely off-putting. Sorry if that bothers anyone, but, hey: opinions go both ways, right?

Yeah, that was super dumb. It's their game so they can do with it what they want but I still had to shake my head when I first saw it.

The quick look for this game will be so sad because all they'll be talking about is how grotesk the boobs and thighs look and no word about the game.

Art "controversy" or no, I still think this game looks great. :)

I'm not down with this anti-boob agenda. Most female characters in games have big boobs, just look at EDI from Mass Effect, they even gave a robot big boobs and cameltoe.

It's always awful when a publisher actually offers physical incentives for a release rather than silly dlc trinkets!

In any case, love Vanillaware and with Dragon's Crown they seem to have finally found the right balance in gameplay systems and depth to match their wonderful art. Really looking forward to this, supposed to be a modern day expansion of the Dungeon and Dragon arcade games.

I'd like to point out that if she does have nipples, they must be strangely located.

I'm not sure which one makes me facepalm more, the creepy comments or the over-sensitive outrage over a blatant art style.

I think I'm gonna wait for a price drop on PSN store. The artbook is tempting, though.

My first thought about this game was that it reminds me of Odin Sphere. Which is a great game.

So I got to see the art book the other day. Not too bad. The art book is not cull sized but not game box sized. Nice heft to it.

Also totes gonna main the sorceress or archer.

Who cares about the wizard tits, what's up with the lumpy ass on the amazon?

Anyway, I loved the way the Trine games have a classic story book feel and am happy to have another game like that to play soon.

I'm planning to play sorceress b/c she is a read-headed witch, and I'm all about that.

The art of the backrounds and monsters look really great. But the characters just look fucking wrong.

I wanna get both versions but I'm waiting for a bit of a sale or a price drop.
