Drew Returns from North Korea

Additional this was awesome comment.

this inspires me to find out more about North Korea, and I'm disturbed by what I find.

No matter where you go on earth you'll find two facts are always true.  The sky is blue and people are people.

I'm currently stationed in S.Korea and man, this was awesome to watch. Most of my knowledge is on the politics and military of the North so it was a nice breath of fresh air to see the actual people of their country... even if they are told complete lies. Also, seeing the DMZ from the northern half is absolutely bizarre!

@SuperSambo: I guess I really should visit the forums more often. Was that banner up all week or just the day before? I felt like it never changed. I just remember the TNT promotion.

Was it just on Friday? I do work during the day (site is blocked at work) and I never get a chance to check the site in the morning. If I'm lucky I get home by 5pm and even though I love this site I don't always check it out first.

Next to Creeper Cam I think that this is the most fascinating video on Giant Bomb.

I'm positive I never saw it mentioning Drew's Trip. I just remember Quick Look updates and the TNT. I don't remember anything about Drew's Trip unless it was on Friday.

There was a great documentary on Netflix from National Geographic. This reporter snuck in with a doctor going there to help people's eyesight. Do not be fooled people, this was everything DPRK wanted him to see. Shit is bad there.

@47:45 or so when Brad talked about how North and South Korea went in opposite directions after the war isn't exactly right. In 1960 South Korea was the absolute poorest country in the world and until the seventies North and South were about on par both developmentally and freedomwise (South Korea was ruled by a brutal dictator as well until the late eighties). It was at that point they wildly diverged, but it's weird to think that forty years ago a person living in Seoul and a person living in Pyongyang would have been living very similar lives.
