E3 2013: Killer Instinct is Back

God this game looks like ass. the art is horrible that Is not KI. It's like the how the super mario move is nothing like super mario bros.

I am done with this already don't even want to support them ruining this game series.

Developers of the new Killer Instinct are asking for feedback, new ideas, listening to what people are saying so, lets give them a place where they could easily find all this stuff.

Poor Sabrewolf! Man, I dunno, guys. Kinda bummed the announcer leaves off the "combo" part. The only way this plays in 201X is if it's as self-aware as possible. If they play it straight, the only thing left is KI's, ahem, gameplay.

For me they fucked up the art style severely. My memory of KI is still the countless of hours on the Arcade version. I wouldn´t see my self spending more than 20 minutes on this.

Pretty sure this game is still pretty early on development. Like pre-alpha from what I am hearing from impressions of people.

Turns out this game isn't made by what's left of Rare, but by some company who's track record is almost exclusively movie-games. What hope I had to relive the glory days of KI is now completely gone.

Yeah, I have heard some people scoff at some games that looked fantastic saying "CURRENT GEN" when they would barely run on modern consoles with looking A LOT worse, but this looks like a pretty standard current gen game nowadays with a more exaggerated art style.

I never cared for this series, mainly because it always looked ugly and the gameplay never grabbed me, but this game's look is solid and hopefully it plays decently.

Maybe it's because I didn't grow up caring about it, but the entire Killer Instinct franchise just screams "faygo" to me.

Hope this ends up being alright! Always like seeing old franchises making comebacks. But Double Felix being the real developer behind this has me scared. Great music by the way.

The only thing worse than there being no Killer Instinct game at E3 is the appearance of a clearly shitted-out in 6 months by a talentless company Killer Instinct game appearing at E3.

I adore the original games, but this looks appalling.

I'll be amazed if there's more than one Ultra combo per character and they won't have bothered with fatalities.

I used to love KI for the SNES, but to be truthful it's been too long. I'm just not very interested anymore. :( Rare isn't staffed by the same people anymore, but I do hope this game turns out great for those still looking forward to a new KI.

Sad that they have 0 creativity on the title, just redoing the original title. Takes me back to watching or trying to play it, having someone do a crazy combo where my participation was just not valid. I'd probably want the soundtrack to this game & maybe watch some tournament fights on twitch but not going to buy it. Guessing that Time Killers will be the next to be remade, which now that I think about it, I'd rather have that than Killer Instinct remade.

Killer Instinct now developed by Double Helix makers of Silent Hill Homecoming, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Front Mission Evolved, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters and Battleship: The Movie: The game. Sounds like a plan!

I understand this game has fans, but even they have to admit nothing about this looks "next gen" at all. The graphics and gameplay all look no better than other fighting games on current consoles. Just proves I guess that a sequel to a game they once liked is enough to sell some people on buying a new console.

You know I could say something rude like "about time" or "who cares" or even "show tits or gtfo" but... Im super pumped about this... like all the way.

The trailer from the conference was far more exciting, that said its great to see KI back. To bad I won't be picking up the new Xbox though to be fair even before it was announced I never planned too.

It's cool that a new Killer Instinct game is coming out, but man, even more so than most Xbox One games, that looks like a 360 game. And not even a top of the line one, visually, at that.

Is it just me or does this look terrible? Also, does anyone know how many people at Rare now were at Rare back when they used to actually make good/great games (Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts and earlier).

I enjoy Killer Instinct, but it being on the XBone kills any sort of hype for it. That with the XBone being horrible for competitive fighters/tournaments with its drm hoops.
