Everybody Is Yelling All the Time in This New Resident Evil 6 Trailer

Im a massive RE fan and I normally buy these day 1, hell I normally pre-order.

This time though, I think I'll wait. You just know it's going to be half price in a week or 2 after launch because of all the trade-ins...

I enjoyed the demo, it actually had me a little scared during the corridor part with the alarm. This game is great!

I was really worried about RE6 until I played the demo. I honestly liked the way it played and thought Leon's story was creepy. I liked the snowy setting in Chris's campaign and I thought Jake could be a cool new addition.

I counted like 6, maybe 7 instances of people yelling and they were all in the last 30 seconds. Just sayin', Alex.

Anywho, that's a damn good trailer for any video game. It doesn't look at all like older Resident Evils but it does look like a good action game and that's all anyone should care for it to be, anyway. I'm excited!

Man I love how Umbrella just has an endless supply of these secret undercover bases.

Trailer looks good, but then I remember that It will probably be a lot of me yelling at the tv over bad AI and zombies grabbing me from 10 feet away.

A couple more thoughts:

Am I the only one who have noticed that the screen gets all blurry when you're in cover? It's a cool effect, I think

Anyone mind telling me HOW this is like the movies? The movies were fanservice in all the wrong ways, just a lot of random enemy designs and characters that, most of the time, popped out of nowhere and had nothing to do with their game-counterpart. I guess Jake reminds me a bit too much of Alice, but still. This game on the other hand looks like it's going to continue the RE-storyline, which I absolutely adore, (yes I like goofy shit. I loved the Mortal Kombat 9 story) in some really interesting ways. And sure it's very action-y, but hey, that's modern RE for you, it's been this way since RE4 more or less

That giraffe, you just can't unsee it.

This looks like an exercise in excess. Regardless of my apathy for Resident Evil in general, that's always a good thing for me.

Actually it's also a different voice actress at that. But yeah, she definitely does sound a lot like her. Though fortunately her voice isn't quite as... shrill.

@Veektarius: I feel like they started looking like that once they made RE5. Its like they chose a gloss finish over everything, it has always been very off putting, reminds you that you are playing a game lol.

I'll say this trailer was pretty damn good, but I've witnessed the demos and they didn't seem too hot. I dunno, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. I want to be. This is a great series. Also, holy shit, this is out next week.

Just played through the demo. I gave up with guns pretty quickly, in favor of mashing the punch/kick/stomp button over and over. Doesn't work on the hardest enemy though...the camera. ZING!

@civid: I know, those are the two sections I really had to have the brightness turned up on as well. The 360 version just over does it though, so you have to put it in the middle of the 20 and 40, or a little under. The PS3 version is better at its highest, as you know. I understand what you mean about the camera, but I guess I just don't have that much a problem with it as some others, or, I know exactly what everyone is saying about it, and there were times where I'd think the same, but in the end, I enjoy it just enough to not care a whole lot about it. The time I thought it was the worst was when I was Chris and I ran under those pillars where you can take cover. I don't really know how to explain it, but that was the worst the camera felt because I couldn't really see what was on my right or left very well, and when there's a guy there with a gun, that's not good.

What I meant about split screen is if it'll let me have two profiles on the same system. My brother and I aren't achievement/trophy... Whores (I hate saying that), but we do like them enough to want to use our own profiles to get them, and the PS3 version just wouldn't allow that on RE5, and the game play was slightly different as well because of having to be on the same profile. I believe it had to do something with the weapons. On the 360 version, we could play it just as anyone would online, and we liked that. That's what I mean. So, if the PS3 version doesn't allow two people to play on their own profile for split screen, and the 360 version again does, I'll probably be getting it on 360.

''What ever happened to the legendary Chris Redfield!?'' Oh man, the smile that was forming with that line... almost enveloped my entire face. Yup, Resident Evil 6's story continues to looking fucking baller! It's just too bad the gameplay can't quite match the same level of quality...

And I guess Sherry's got some weird B.O.W. related superpowers of her own, because of the events during RE2, which I'm really looking forward to find out about! I think during the demo I heard Jake mention that she has regenerative capabilities or something.

just watched the new animated movie "Resident Evil: Damnation" and for what it's worth it was actually an alright movie, better than the other two animated ones.

But during the credits there were clips FROM THIS GAME playing and I was so confused since they..... well they had nothing to do with the movie I had just watched.

Well i'm back on board. I pre-ordered it 'cause the wife is crazy about the series, but after playing the demo I was more than worried it would be awful. And it still might be awful to play, but man it looks to be just nuts enough for me to enjoy playing through it

@NTM: I'm playing on a PS3 and I to needed to increase the brightness to see what the hell was going on around me in both the Leon and the Jake campaign. The reason the camera is bumming me so much even though it seems like a somewhat small flaw when I actually do enjoy the gameplay is because it seems to completely contradict the smooth and quite dynamic gameplay of the game (that is once you have familiarized yourself with the controls) and it just becomes a hassle to navigate the stages because of it. I don't know maybe I'm overreacting I just really don't like it.

Also as far as splitscreen is concerned it seems that Capcom has decided to stick with RE5's awfull way of splitting up the screens.

Yeah, I might sit this one out. Watch a Let's Play of it instead.

i think it's gonna be too much over the top action.

This trailer makes me want it very bad. But then I realize I'd much rather just watch an animated movie/series with that tone..... ughh

It doesn't help that the movement of your character is waaaay to fast and, compared to RE5 which was a gorgeous-looking game, this one seems either way to dark or just bland as hell depending on which scenario you are playing.

It still looks like one of the only interesting games to come out this year, and if nothing else, I adored the CO-OP in RE5 so the fact that they have kept that in is a big plus.

Also stop using El Gigante and chain saw guy Capcom. It was stupid in RE5 and these new skins looks awfull

It depends on what system you're playing on actually when it comes to how dark it can be. I played the PS3 version and liked turning the brightness up all the way because it was still dark, but not too dark, but on the 360 version, when you turn the brightness in the game up all the way, it's extremely bright, which I only liked during Chris' mission. I don't ever like changing the brightness setting in a game, or even on my TV, because I think default (in the game) is usually the intended way to play, but not this time around. I just don't know which system to get this on, but I will once I figure out how the split screen co-op works. Also, while I like the camera view for the most part, I do agree with you and almost everyone else that's complaining about it that it's a little too close, and that may sound contradicting, because it is, and I feel this way because the only time it feels like a hassle is when you're close to a wall, it's just awkward.

How do you manage to ruin Leon..oh wait. Capcom. That's how.

The sound work on this trailer was great. Made me think of a real movie trailer. Clearly what they were going for.

Not a fan of RE though.

And a frame from every single cutscene in the game to spoil EVERYTHING.

@Dan_CiTi: When did you play it last? The last demo (and I'm going to just assume you played it) felt good to me. I'm excited for this game :D! Also, the trailer makes the game look great, and I'm sure, for me at least, it's going to be just that.

Intense stuff...all I have to say.

I didn't like the demo so I don't know what to think of this game anymore.
