Taking a page from the Tim and Eric playbook. Ok.

I saw a dude get kicked by a disembodied foot - was this game made by Arkane?

I don't think that part where he exploded was real.

I played this at PAX East.

All the sword movement is 1-to-1 mouse controlled. The opening room made you pick a lock by stabbing the tip directly into the lock, even that felt like a goddamn accomplishment with how the sword works. Fighting was hard, but pretty fun, and involved strategically getting rid of enemy armor and positioning/flanking enemies. Neat stuff.

I think I liked this.

That game looks shit. The trailer on the other hand was truly wonderful.

Considering it ran at about 5 fps on the computer I had at the time, I played quite a lot of the Die by the Sword demo. That was a slightly less silly version of this. You could still beat monsters about the head with their own limbs, though. Or yours.

This seems like an in-joke gone too far. And now I really want a Die by the Sword sequel.

I still cant decide if this is genius or terrible.

I frickin loved Die By the Sword. Pretty excited about this dumb thing. I hope they get that lopsided feel into it enough to be silly without completely encumbering the gameplay.

My dad's a pretty cool guy. I bet this game is great.

Nope, they ran out of money after making a not-very-good prototype. IIRC some partial refunds were given to backers (evidently on Stephenson's dime).

The lesson is historical accuracy and sim realism are not necessarily any fun.

The gameplay seems like it could be interesting. Shame the rest of the trailer anti-sold me on it.

I don't know about the gameplay but I certainly enjoyed this trailer.

As a Dad I am glad that my son was not in the room when I watched this trailer.
