I got this vibe throughout the video that Rorie has some kind of issue with Ian. He always seems to be dismissive or confrontational with him. Otherwise, very funny, Vinny is the star as usual

I love DMs like Rorie. He's more about story, less about being so God damn curmudgeonly about the rules.

If more people ran games like him, I'd still be playing D&D. As it stands, I've not played in years and have no urge to start back up.

Best video. Seriously. Although they were mistaken at the very beginning and the community has actually split three ways: there's Pathfinder fans, 4E fans, and people who stuck with old 3.5 because they don't like the Pathfinder changes.

I can safely say I have never seen a character quite like V-Bomb in all my time GMing, though!

I would do this but the CBSi scanning machines are bottomlessly awful and I've never really figured out how to use them. I'll see what I can do, though.

@labman: I think it's more that Rorie felt like the game is slipping out of his hands with everyone wanting to do extra things. Still, now that I actually finished the video it gets worse to the end. But meh, no one is perfectly aloof all of the times ;).

That was pretty awesome. Can't wait to see the next one.

Seriously I must have missed all of this because I didn't hear any nastiness at all. Friendly banter and bickering are completely different things.

V-Bomb feels a lot like Brian Posehn's barbarian character (i.e. when in doubt, hit something).

Vinny is the same type of player that me and my friends are. Other people say that we take too long on our turns, but when you do some crazy roundabout shit most of the time GM's will find it so hilarious or creative they let you do it. One time in a D&D scenario there was a cult worshiping some crazy extraplanar demon and were about to let it through, so I decided to have my super powerful cleric try and seal the planar gate. A few collective Will checks later and, bam crisis averted just because there's a divine spell in 3.5 that vaguely defines blocking extradimensional travel.

Remember guys, the rulebooks are guidelines. It's, like, totally okay to do dumb shit like that!

Hope there ist more coming. Really entertaining and fun to watch.

This was phenomenal. Really good mix of people. Props to Ian for being so good about helping everyone out and keeping things moving. Glad to see him in more content. And it does my heart good to see Dave.

Can't wait for more of this. Tabletop roleplaying is so fascinating to watch. Once you all become masters at this, you should try Continuum! No one ever plays that and I desperately want to see someone try. I'm sure that's totally within your grasp after a few hours of this... Right?
