This is an April Fools' Day thing, I mean, it has to be. As much as I want this to be real the store page tells me it's probably not.

It's going to be released on April 1st, 5 days from now and it has no price nor does it have a purchase button. That and the key features just... it can't be real, right? Please let this be real. I'd pay for this type of stupidity.

The game is obviously not for you, but growing a sense of humor towards certain things will definitely help instead of harm you especially when it comes to the internet. That's not to say "le memes are le greatest" but there's a time to be a cynical asshole and a time to be respectful of those able to form comedy out of a medium that gets far too little of it

@mlarrabee: The game itself might be completely inane, but I don't see how anyone wouldn't be able to appreciate this trailer at least for the parody of that downright insulting Dead Island trailer from back whenever. That was something to be pissed off about, considering the content of that game.

The fact that this is coming from a somewhat established developer almost makes it better. It would be somewhat tragic yet quite amazing if this outsells all their other games (which I wouldn't doubt the possibility).

Um, okay then.

I really enjoyed Dead Island. Its trailer was a lie, to be sure, but its first-person melee combat is second only to Condemned (or possibly third; I haven't played Zeno Clash).

And I did find the parody amusing at first, but even that put me off because of how exactly they copied the music. A proper take on the song would be one that is very similar and that attempts to carry the same (now mocking) gravitas, but this was a simple copy/paste of chord progression and tempo.

Like I said, the whole thing just feels really... lazy.

side note: Coffee stain studios also made sanctum, one of the lead artists on Sanctum (Johan Wahlback) worked on Bloodline Champions, Bloodline Champions was made by Stunlock Studios, and the last time we heard from them Stunlock Studios was working on a Dead Island Moba.

So there is a connection between Coffee Stain studios and Dead Island.
