Nice to see longer official gameplay demos. I hate the super short ones that pervade the preview scene.

May seem like your still doing the same stuff over again. But that stuff is being Batman, and being Batman is pretty badass.

The framerate has to be a video problem right? They wouldn't be showing this would they? I mean i know the standards for decent framerate have gone way down in the last 2 years but this is painful to watch...

@chaser324: And Troy Baker's Joker is a nearly pitch-perfect impersonation of Mark Hamill. So much for "they'll sound different because they're younger." It seems the casting is more about saving a few bucks than for creative reasons.

Those Batman games sure were good. This'll be a good birthday gift for me in a couple weeks, I suppose.

Anyway, the game looks really fun I just hope that frame rate is the video and not the game itself...

I have had enough of these Batman games now. Won't be playing this one.

I came into this video pretty optimistic about this game, but the blatant reuse of assets - in apparently inappropriate places, no less, and some of the ridiculous scenarios set up in this video... I've gone all the way to the other side of that fence.

That one narrator guy is really pushing it trying to sell that Batman is all alone. Seeing as how he has worked alone in the games, I'm not really seeing why we should view this Batman as existing in desperate isolation

Well, since Kevin Conroy is working on the Batman game Rocksteady is doing I'm going to believe them when they say they wanted The B-Man to sound younger (feel free to debate whether it worked or not)... and Hamill had been saying for a while that he wasn't going to do Joker anymore -- it's my understanding they they got him back with the story that they wrote for B:AC -- so, they may save money using Troy but it's not because they could've gotten Mark and didn't...

Cannot disagree more. There's a tiny tinge of Conroy flavor but it's really not that close. Same with Baker-Joker.

I have to assume it's just the video since it appears to be happening during cutscenes and when the map is up. I don't think they'd intentionally show the game off like this.

I love that police bug where he is watching batman but the dialogue is still about the TV... "YEAH right in the Yaw" *smock*

Didn't realize this game would be THIS similar to the previous one(s). Hmm, it almost looks a little too much like AC for my tastes and I'm not hungry for more of that to be honest. At least from AA to AC, there was a notable visual shift from the island to the city.

Man i could enjoy or at the very least deal with the non-Kevin Conroy Batman, the non-Mark Hamill Joker, and the recycled gameplay, but that framerate is eff'ing atrocious.

Thousands of XP for fights with just a few goons? Bluh, numbers inflation. Arkham City made getting above 1k XP for an encounter extremely satisfying.

Pretty sure he said "The Dark Knight" way more than he said "Batman" throughout that whole video.

I appreciate how short their Pre-order from gamestop shot at the end was.

Granted the numbers are arbitrary. They could be any amount and be hard/easy to get depending how it's programmed.

edit: Oh man Batman looks short and stumpy.

I'm really glad that pleasant Quebequoi man was there to tell me how different this Batman is, because otherwise this would look completely indistinguishable from Arkham City except for the ludicrously bad framerate. Hey, more power to you if that's what you want, but I'd much rather wait to see what Rocksteady has in store than justify their lame expansion pack from the team that couldn't manage to decently port a year-old game to the Wii U.

Well the IGN Youtube video of the game has the exact same frame rate problems as the GB player one.

So unless they provided the video source files like this to everyone, it's the game.

I really liked Arkham Asylum and I thought City was good but I didn't like all the traversal and repeated goon encounters. This seems to be further distancing itself from what I initially really loved about the series.

The part when he says Batman is going to be less brutal to police...we all saw him jump on a guy after a beatdown and smash his face in right?

Also when he's inside he pulls like a 23 hit combo on a cop. Cray. That little scene where the cops want to get the ransom from Black Mask for killing Batman is NOT enough justification for Batman. He's Batman, dealing with this crap is his eternal burden.

I'm hoping the PC version runs better, but that video almost sells me on the game. I really like the new Chris Redfield-ified Batman voice.
